Williamsburg Hand Wash advertises $149 detailing; exterior & interior.  My car - blue VW rabbit recently repaired driver side damage and was repainted and compounded. However the roof of the car and passenger door had some cement spray from a construction site near where I park. So I took it to Williamsburg Hand Wash to remove cement, detail the car and compound the roof and passenger side. The owner of of WHW and I toured my car noting one small paint chip near the gas cap. I bought some touch up paint for this and WHW assured they could remove cement and with clay and compound make the passenger side and roof look as good as the newly painted driver side.

In addition to the standard detailing in and out, we agreed on a price of $350. It took three days before they said to pick up car. Immediately upon entering the garage I notice the passenger side door has a scratch all down the side. Plus when I open the door there are scratches all along the door jam. Nothing had been done to the paint chip he had agreed to touch up. In fact, the car wasn't even waxed?? or compounded? When I pointed out the damage, owner of WHW insisted that it had come in with the damage. Now these scratches look like someone buffed the car with abrasive that wore paint off in a swirl, both down the passenger side and on jam. Also the roof had lighter, but distinct swirl scratches, though it didn't damage the paint. After arguing for half an hour, the owner of WHW continued to deny that they had caused the scratches.

Ripoff summary:
Paid $149 for detailing that was not completed.
Paid additional $200 to remove cement and compound roof & passenger side - in place of cement the door is all scratched up.
