Willington Reporting, Inc./David Anderson Willington Reporting Inc. accesses your computer London, UK Nationwide
I had registered with the web-site "Scopists International" in order to earn extra money either transcribing reports or proofreading/editing them. I was contacted by Mr. Anderson by e-mail, who asked if I'd be interested in working for Willington part time. The job had 5-7 days turnaround and the pay rate was $1.65 per page which would be paid by check. I was later sent an e-mail containing an attachment, again with the page rate stated. This attachment contained a "transcript" of the Supreme Court case of MGM vs. Grokster (aka Napster, iPod, etc.) The document was 275 pages long.
In my research on-line, there were links that said the case was settled in 2005. This was not a job. I contacted the sysop of a court reporters forum who told me this was a scam. During the time I proofread the document, I-Tunes and other file-sharing software were shown as being open on the task manager screen--however I had not started the program. I soon lost function of my mouse and received error messages.
Beware of solicitations from this company. The rip-off is that you open your computer for them to hack, and you waste your time even considering doing work for them.
