Complaint Review: Wilshire Credit Corporation

Hi, I wish I had known about Wilshire and how they treat there customers. We started out with Prime Lending,then went to Option One and not even 30 days later our mortgage was sold to Wilshire.

My husband is an Army vet and was out of a job for about 4 months. Well, at that time our mortgage was already in the hands of wilshire. Now we are trying to refinance and we needed a payoff statement from them and from Option One.

No problem with Option One, got the statement in less than 24 hours. But Wilshire is claiming that it will take at lease 5 to 10 days before they can get anything in writing and too us in time before the default date comes up. WHAT!

I call that withholding information that is rightfully mine. And the way I see it, is they are wanting us to go into foreclosure. What happened to getting help if you need it, going into default if you are still having problems, then pre-foreclosure and then foreclosure? They are going straight to foreclosure.

I have the feeling that they aren't going to go away nicely and without a fight. We asked for help from them and all we got was another $600 added to our already $1478.00 payment. They called that helping us to catch up on our payments. Well, h e l l o! We are in need to help to lower the payment not big payments for an early payoff.

Anyway, we are at the point where we are afraid that what has happened to some of you will happen to us. I don't need a foreclosure on my credit. If there are any lawsuits going, my husband and I would like to get in on it.
