Wilshire Skyline Inc unfair witholding of security deposit Los Angeles California
This apartment complex does not have the most desired living conditions. Loud neighbors, electrical and plumbing problems in numerous units and don't expect to get a fair return on your security deposit. Management is neglectful of its tenants and there are regular increases in rent.
I have filed a complaint about this apartment management company in the past and do not see it on the records. I feel it is my duty to pass this information along to anyone considering making The Nirvana ones home.

The comments made by the company that they are soooooo responsive to a resident's complaints is complete bull. Take it from the most patient person on earth. Also, they got me to move into a unit that had horrible carpeting sooo old and smelly and disgusting, and then got me to replace it on my dime and now won't split the cost with me which is more than fair. i am having to sue them just to get back what would be mine fairly. They are cheap crooks.

To whom it may concern, Wilshire Skyline, Inc has always been responsive to our residents' needs. If a tenant has a problem with the condition of their dwelling space, management will typically respond above and beyond what is required. There was a leak in Ms. Sawalha's apartment and Wilshire Skyline did respond in a timely manner. Our response included fixing the leak, installing new drywall and also fixing the electricital problem(which resulted from the leak) with a professional electrician in a timely manner. As far as Ms. Sawalha's security deposit refund- She resceived the refund within the allowable time frame, per local code and per the lease agreement. Further, the following were the sole items deducted from Ms. Sawalha's security deposit: 1. $65 cleaning. 2. Painting reimbursement prorated per local ordinances. 3. 3 NSF charges and 3 Late fees, per local ordinances and the Lease Agreement. These fees stemmed as a result of 3 bounced checks and rent paid 18 days past the due date. We do not have any records of Ms. Sawalha's complaints about noise(not to rule out verbal communication with one of our agents, which we've encouraged tenants to avoid). Ms. Sawalha filed a complaint in Small Claims court and ultimately the judge decided in favor of Wilshire Skyline and zero funds were owed to tenant. Sincerely, Wilshire Skyline, Inc. Management

Someone in my office went to small claims court with Mindy and we won the case. This was the outcome because we proved to the judge very clearly and unambiguously the the security deposit deductions were more than fair. As far as noise and condition of premises, we responded promptly to Mindy's electrical problems with a qualidied electrician and then also paid for her electrical bill for that month.
