Bought Wilsonart laminate floor feb.2001 our icemaker line had a pinhole leak Sept 2001 had a contractor install this. Half of our floor buckled up.

Wilsonart produced a warranty that was not presented to us at time of purchase with many loopholes. The displays and broshures state that they have a 20 year warranty against wear,stain fade and water damage. Yet there is a warrant we had to call texas for, which states they cover appliance leaks and topical spills.

This company was rude and have tried to find every made up excuse not to cover our floor. They have been out to the house to take pictures and as a last resort not to cover our floor, they wanted us to rip up two tiles, still glued together, and give it to them to analize. When we said no, they are now stating they won't honor the warranty because we won't pull up two tiles.

We paid $1300 just for the floor and it will cost almost $4000 to repair and replace the floor at this point. Consumer affairs is involved, better business bureau and e-complaint.com. I think these companies need to be held accountable. Many agencies told me that they knew exactly what the company was going to say, they must all be the same.

These companies MUST stand behind their warranty, this is why we buy the product! We believe there was false advertising on Wilsonarts part, and the warranty we had to call texas for, must be provided BEFORE you purchase the product, NOT, when there is a problem. It looks as if we will be taking them to court.
