Had my internet throttled by wind to the point that I can't even get modem to connect First I must say they sucked me in from the get go I bought the Wind Alcatel y580 mobile hotspot. Advertised that you can connect upto 10 devices $125. also advertised unlimited data plan $35.

i told the salesperson at wind store I'm a single guy and I thought with mobile hotspot I'd have internet at home and take it out with me when I'm out answer from sales Yes perfect for you 

after 2 weeks my modem was always displaying Linited and I couldn't connect  Called store and they told me bring it in and they'd see if something wrong.When I arrived at store and after a quick hook up to their computer That's when they told me I'm being throttled and to take battery and sim card out wait a minute and restall sim and battery. Ridiculous to do that because it was even minute or less displaying limited Salesperson then told me that I need a separate internet provider for home The modem was for when I'm mobile. What a joke but when I got to free wifi area I tweeted customer service  @WIND_cares and they confirmed. I'd need a separate provider for home  Not to connect a computer or IPhone or IPad to my device as they have apps running in background and would use up my data 

Strange. Modem connects up to ten devices but after what they told me what not to connect what else is there So much for wind mobile hotspot being perfect for a 1 person household 

now for the fair usage policy its stated as 10g/$35 per month/home internet

well the rip off is what happened on Dec8-12/2014  wind twitter customer services tells me if modem isn't connect I'd have to call their second tier customer reps and they'd be able to help

On 12 th I finally get thru using a friends phone  as my call was always dropped instantly by wind when I used my phone  I had to explain that my modem doesn't work because of speed too low   They told me I'm throttled and after the same Bs from rep I asked for Supervisor 

Mr Bong gets on phone after I've been on hold  8 min waiting and he goes on about being throttled blah blah blah 

we go back and forth me asking how is it unlimited data if I can't connect and him saying I've been throttled and most webpages require a higher speed to operate 

well I was ticked off with the rest of his colleagues in background loudly laughing and commenting  and brought that to his attention 

I asked him So throttling is same as no internet access and he replied as a matter of fact yes Told him I wasn't satisfied with the responses and asked for his supervisor or someone else higher and he said he was highest level. If I wanted to speak to someone else that I'd have to call back and that's how it ended 

I do have an audio recording of the whole conversation. If any Lawyers may think there is a case against these bastards for false advertising I'd be glad to speak 

now they have wind plan Across Canada. But it's not all across Canada Another bullSh$tadd.  It's wind across the wind canada map. Not what the general population would think though. Across Canada you would think Sea to shining Sea
