Windjammer Barefoot Cruises Miami Florida
We booked a cruise to the West Indies in Sept. 2007. They immediately took off the charges for the cruise, airfare and hotel off our credit card and the cruise was paid in full. They CANCELLED the cruise in November, 3 weeks before sailing, stating we'd be refunded in full. Total cost is approx. $5300. We have not received any monies. THEY ARE STILL BOOKING CRUISES ON-LINE.
We have since learned that the SHIPS have been SEIZED , as the company is NOT paying port fees, their crew, fuel. Many consumers have been stranded , receiving no monies. But, they are still advertising and booking cruises til this day - WITH NO SHIPS AVAILABLE!!!!!!!!!!!! They knew when they booked us , that they had no intention in fulfilling their obligation. We phoned the airlines and the hotel ourselves and informed them of the cancellation as WINDJAMMERS did not.
WINDJAMMERS IS HOLDING OUR MONEY FOR THE CRUISE, FLIGHTS AND HOTEL.

If you haven't already you should call the credit card company and challenge this transaction. Provide them with info you have so far and find out what else they need as well.
There's no reason why they shouldn't be able to credit this back to you with the info given. If people can continue to book cruises using their credit cards no reason why they shouldn't pull money back from them.
