I made my purchase on their website, just like the add on tv they said I will get my purchase within 4 to 6 weeks. Well 4 weeks came, I got a little concerned and called the company, and they said it will take the full amount of time. Well 6 weeks came, and they told me on the phone that it was being shiped on Monday , it took so long because they had a lot of orders. I ordered it on July 9, 2005. Well Monday came, but my vaccum did not. When I tried to call I wasn't getting throug, keeping me on hold for hours at a time, I was on hold for at least 2 1/2 hours at one time. Left emails letting them know how disgusted I was about their service, wich they said they will ansewer back, and never did. Finally after 2 1/2 months almost 3, I got back in touch with someone in customer service, and they said my order was on back order and it will be shipped on Moday (again) by Oct. 3, I told her that I heard that before and demanded my money back. She said it would take 15 days to get back in my account, well its been 17 days and no money. I am fed up and have had enough. I WANT MY MONEY BACK ALL 159.29 of it. Please can someone help me. This Company is not who they say they are, and they can't be counted on, and Honor is far from them. Thank You

I had to have my bank investigate the overcharge on my account. I had ordered a lazer vac (2) with steamer and was overcharged almost $200.00. After no response from Singer, I went to my bank. I had paid with my debit card. They were able to reverse the charges, investigate and finally determine that this was indeed A RIPOFF! Sorry to hear this is still happening to others.

I have also written California and Michigan's State Attorney General. I guess no action is being taken to stop this obvious SCAM! FedEx did try to make a delivery about 1 month ago. I had ordered back in May 2005. I refused delivery just as my bank had advised me to do. Don't accept product when it is, if ever, finally delivered! Many people have complained that they have received multiple orders or not what they ordered.

Again, my advice is to notify your bank IMMEDIATELY! It's my understanding that you only have 90 days after ordering to do this. Then, REFUSE ANY DELIVERY from Singer Lazer Vac. I truely hope that everything will be resolved for you.

Sincerely,

Debbie

How to get in touch with someone and get your money back

#3Consumer Suggestion

Hi,

My dad purchase a vacuum from IGIA and ended up with 4 and an extra $300 U.S. in billing on his credit card. I've spent the last 4 weeks trying to get in touch with someone at IGA (Tactica) and here is what I did yesterday based on some guidance from "a friend" on this site.

1. Call the head office in NY at 212-575-0500 and ask to speak to someone in the Legal Department. When they ask what it is concerning, let them know it's about a vacuum you have been billed for but never recv'd.
2. They will hang up on you several times so don't give up.
3. When you finally get to speak to someone, get their first and last name and their extension #. Demand that they give you a FULL refund. They have all kinds of excuses as to why they will only give you a partial refund but keep insisting that you want all your money refunded AND that you want a confirmation in writing from a supervisor before you hang up the phone.
4. For those who already recv'd the vacuums, you should also insist that they send Fedex to pick up the vacuums at their cost. They will balk at the suggestion but stand firm.

Good luck
