Windward Travel Will Ishmael Took advantage of our family and lied about working with us to get a refund on our behalf. Red Bank, New Jersey
This could be a very long report, but I will not babble.
An agent who booked our trip understood we were trying to save money, be healthy by going somewhere that could service our dietary needs and knew it was the first time we were taking our infant out of the country.
Not only did Natalie Neves under Will Ishmael not book us like we wanted in a Non Smoking room but the hotel we went to, CuisinArt in Anguilla made us stay in that room until they had a free reservation. Then, when I told Will Ishamael about the case - he told me I could have called Windward Travel from Anguilla - for an extra $25 for the call. However, they don't work on the weekends, so we had to wait two days for them to get in touch with the hotel, and even then, they did nothing.
Windward Travel strongarmed us into booking a private boat charter to the Hotel, when in fact, we could have taken a public ferry - the cheaper option. They also neglected to look out for the safety of our child by booking us in a smoking room. The agents also told us they would take care of our refund for tickets purchased through them for a boat ride back to St. Maarten from Anguilla. They still have yet to call us, and that was three weeks ago. To top it off, as a travel agency, you would think they would prepare us to let us know what taxes and surcharges, and exactly what happens (at immigration) but they neglected to do that as well and put us in danger of almost missing our flight, and endangered the health of our child by making us sit in the Immigration office filling out forms for nearly an hour (there are SARS letters and notices posted all over in places like that overseas).
Fact of the matter is that they were neglectful in booking the trip, neglectful while we were on the trip and ignorant enough to not follow up with correspondence once we returned.
