Winnie Cain Thai Massage Tour Thai Massage Tour Rip-off Internet

If you are interested in learning Thai massage by going to Thailand, do NOT do so with Winnie Cain.  Her instruction is terrible and her trip is a rip off.

She is unable to teach basic background, implications and body mechanics of Thai massage.  She is also quick to insult and demean her students in a very unprofessional manner.

The accomodations of the trip are unsafe and extrememly unsanitary (meaning rats in your bedroom).  Also there is no guidance provided or care for the wellbeing of the students.  You can expect to pretty much be abandonded to wander the dangerous streets of Thailand alone and with no idea of where to go.

Also, the trip is way overpriced. The hotels are dirty and in terrible locations and the "tours" provided are awful.

Don't waste your money!!!

These claims were heard in small claims court and were dismissed.

I have been teaching since '94. Surely a person wouldn't still be teaching with a bad reputation. Especially as unknown as Thai massage has been. I keep evaluation forms. They don't look anything like what this person is claiming. I believe her problem is she wanted a $5,000 trip and paid for a $3,000 one. It was a fund raising tour for underpriviledged women in Thailand. I do the trip as a volunteer. I teach 60 hours of Thai massage and arrange the tour. I have been doing this free since 2000.  Who do you know would do this? If you do know someone that would do this; please have them contact me at: winnie@akhawomensfoundation.com

You can also contact your travel agent and ask them what it would cost for:airfare from LA to Bangkok, Bangkok to Chiang Rai, van ride to Chiang Mai, Chiang Mai to Phuket, Phuket to Bangkok and Bangkok to LA.

Accomodations for three weeks, all meals for two weeks and breakfast for one week. It was a 23 day tour. Temple tour and canal tour in Bangkok. Doi Tung and Golden Triangle tour in the north.  Elephant,ox cart ride and raft ride in Chiang Mai. Kantoke dinner and a trip to Doi Suthep.

I charge $900 for 60 hours of Thai massage.

We were supposed to stay in an Akha village. It was lovely there. We had an instigater that wouldn't stay there and didn't want the rest of the group to stay there either.

Some people absolutely can't stand the idea that there is a person who would do all of this not expecting anything in return.  You probably know people like this.
