When I got a warning on my computer saying an attempt by another computer to access my computer I clicked on it and there was an add for WinSpyKiller and another for VirusRanger. After I clicked to check it out, It installed all kinds of spyware and Trojans that I can't get rid of. I tried to remove anything associated with either of these and can't find them in the system but they keep popping up about every 30 seconds.
If I find a resolution I will update.

One should NEVER click on a pop-up, because nothing good (for you) will ever occur.....

Now you know!

There are many software providers that might help you:

BitDefender (antivirus, trojans)
SpyBot Search & Destroy
LavaSoft

...and so on. Consumer Reports reviewed & rated some spyware & anti-virus programs a short while back. Visit your library & ask for CR.

A good firewall like ZoneAlarm is also a must-have. Such a firewall will prevent rogue programs from "calling home" without your knowlege to send information stolen from your computer. Keystroke loggers can record your address & CC info, incl that handy little code on the back of your credit card that "proves" it wuz you what ordered that $5,000 of merchandise. Some people do their taxes & other financial business on their computers and.... Have you reached a state of panic yet?
