Complaint Review: Wired Plastic

Wired Plastic does not replace expired cards and CS doesn't help Internet

I've been using my Wired Plastic card for a little over a year, and I thought it was great! The fees weren't bad, direct deposit was a plus and I could access everything online.

Then my card expired, and it all went downhill. Quickly. In a handbasket.

My card expired on November 30th. Most companies will send you a new card BEFORE your old one expires. I called on December 4th, paying 95 cents plus long distance to do so, and was told that my card was sent on December 3rd and they had a problem that made it late going out. Not my problem, but I digress.

It is now December 13th. I have not received my new card, and repeated attempts to contact customer service have resulted in exactly nothing but frustration. I was just told after four generic responses that my card was not sent until December 5th, and I need to wait 14 business days to contact them again.

I asked that it be re-issued and overnighted to me (I wasn't pleasant about it) and I was told that they do not have the ability to send anything overnight, but for an additional fee of $15 I can have one sent to me within 5 business days.

I have all of my Christmas money in that account and 3 children to shop for. I cannot access my money in any way. Customer service is unhelpful and very rude.

STAY FAR FAR AWAY from this company if you want access to your money.
