Complaint Review: Wirefly.com InPhonic

Wirefly.com, InPhonic REBATE RIP-OFF Largo Maryland

Like many others, I feel that I've been ripped off by
Wirefly and the InPhonic Rebate. I purchase 2 blackberrys on July 6, 2005 under the impression that I would get 4 rebates totalling $500. (two $100 "customer loyalty" rebates two $150 mail-in voice and Data rebates.... one of each reabte per phone). $500 is a lot of money by most peoples standards.

I followed all the rules and submitted the numerous
documents (phone bills, order, upc labels etc) on several occassions to the different addresses and fax numbers. I've spent several hours (no joke) on the phone in the last year trying to get this resolved to no avail. Typically, I wouldn't care but again that's a lot of money and I don't believe it's ethical or proffesional to mislead people.

Until today I was ready to give up but now I've seen this website and the several submissions and hope this can get resolved. I'm just pissed that these companies are so unethical and continue to offer these rebates that they don't intend to fullfill.

After researching Wirefly and Inphonics I have found several people to e-mail and fax regarding my problem with the $500 rebate.
So far I've e-mailed the following:

rebatehelp@inphonic.com
jpurcell@inphonic.com
rcalder@inphonic.com
customerinquiry@inphonic.com
ddennis@inphonic.com
jdelahay@inphonic.com

and faxed:
202.333.5007
202.333.8280

I got one response e-mail - from "the Office of the President" (this is from the customerinquiry@inphonic.com e-mail address)
The e-mail states:

Please contact our Rebate Escalation team to discuss your rebate submission. They are the highest escalation regarding rebates and have all detailed information about your submission. You may contact them at 866-274-8573 or by email at rebatehelp@inphonic.com.

Thank You
