I bought a Motorola Razr phone with T-Mobile service through an online offer at WWW.WIREFLY.COM around January 2006. The phone cost $50, and WIREFLY.COM offered a $50 rebate with 1-yr service activation through T-Mobile.

I complied with all terms of the rebate and sent in all of the required information as requested. When three months passed with no rebate, I followed up with them, to which I was told that "the rebate was lost in the mail", and I had to resend it.

The absurdity of this claim is blatant- how could my rebate get lost in the mail? I put return address on the envelope and attached a stamp with correct postage- if I entered wrong address of WIREFLY.COM, the rebate would have been sent to the return address, right? It was never sent back to me, so I know for a fact that it was received at the right address.

I could not resend the rebate as they wanted, as I did not make a copy of the UPC code. I emailed WWW.WIREFLY.COM threatening them with filing a claim in small claims court and posting a description of their UNETHICAL practice on www.ripoffreport.com. Amazingly enough, they "found" my rebate claim within two days after I threatened them with this.

I would recommend avoiding WWW.WIREFLY.COM due to their HIGHLY UNETHICAL practice with regard to this rebate. If you find yourself in a similar situation, I would recommend doing what I did to resolve it.
