Complaint Review: Wirestock.io

Despite completing and submitting 50 illustrations as per their guidelines, they only made a partial payment and accused me of using AI tools for the artwork, which is false. I provided proof of my work, but they refused to pay the remaining amount. Their communication has been unprofessional, and they have ignored my attempts to resolve the situation.

I was initially contacted by Ani Harutyunyan from Wirestock through LinkedIn, where she stated that I was the ideal person for the project they had in mind. The project involved creating 50 illustrations, which could be done either in 3D or as regular illustrations. Given the timeline of 10 days, I informed them that I would focus on illustrations due to the time constraints. Ani confirmed that this was acceptable.

I completed the 50 illustrations and submitted them before the deadline on August 25, 2024. These illustrations followed all the guidelines provided by Wirestock. However, some of my illustrations were rejected without clear explanation. When I inquired about the reasons for the rejections, Ani told me it was because they were not in 3D, even though it had never been explicitly stated that 3D was a strict requirement. I asked to see the contract specifying this, but they refused to provide it and said that my account was being deleted.

After Ani stopped communicating with me, I began talking with Ike from Wirestock via email. He accused me of lying and claimed that I had been told that 3D images were required. I showed him the full conversations I had with Ani, where it was clear that there was no mention of 3D being mandatory. Nevertheless, Ike disregarded the proof I provided and shifted the focus by accusing me of using AI tools to generate my illustrations, which is completely false.

I submitted 50 illustrations that were done entirely by me, and I have provided evidence of my process, including the Photoshop files and layer breakdowns, to prove that these are original works. Wirestock, however, continued to ignore my proof and denied full payment. They have only made a partial payment for 6 of the 50 illustrations, citing claims that the others were generated by AI, despite the clear evidence to the contrary.

This behavior is unprofessional and dishonest. I completed the work, met the deadlines, and followed the guidelines provided, yet they have refused to honor our agreement of $450 for 50 illustrations. Their shifting excuses, refusal to provide a contract, and failure to communicate properly have led me to seek formal recourse. I am now filing this complaint to seek full compensation for my work.
