Two months in a row I had a $9.00 charge on my bank statement from these scam artists. I believe it happened when I took the bate for a $10.00 discount coupon on the Half.com site (spin off from E-Bay) -- which of course I never received. If you read the fine print it does tell you they'll be charging you $9/mo. from then on, and they're doing this on so many different websites it's just horrendous.

I found their website and called the 800 number. They get so many cancellations that it's their phone drop-down menu choice #1. You have to punch in your card number and then you'll be amazed that they have your matching email address. You can cancel "your membership" on the phone and they give you a refence number with a quick email confirmation right behind it promising no more charges will appear.

It's way-less trouble than cancelling/changing your card number. They're getting rich or just a 1-2 month charge on a huge number of people. They EXPECT cancellations and do some fancy footwork to keep out of trouble.
