After having viewed many of the reports left by others concerning this "company", my wife and I believe they gleaned her cc info from classmates.com and took it upon themselves to set her up an account at reservation rewards without her knowledge or consent. It was for 10 dollars it was a monthly membership for a service that provides an opportunity to print out coupons and discount offers for business and retailers within a given area.

What it amounts to is a service that charges 10 bucks a month to encourage you to go and spend more money at certain area retailers, restaurants and businesses. Almost the stupidest thing I've ever heard of. Paying 10 dollars a month so I can save 5 dollars at midas. Get the h*ll out of here. Anyway, this is what I found out so far; not much more than others haven't already.

I'm going to call Norwalk Monday morning and see if I can get them to give me something more. City hall should have a business license for this webloyalty at the addy, and if not then they are operating illegally within the city of Norwalk as well. Looking off the map they're off of highway 7 there in Norwalk not too far from silver springs golf course and Carter Swamp.

Some of the people they are in bed with are as follows:
American Greetings
Broderbund
Chadwick's
Classmates.com
Drugstore.com
EB Games.com
Lane Bryant Catalog
MovieTickets.com
PETCO
The Learning Company
United Online

I am personally going to send notice via email and telephone to each an every one of these companies with regards to its' status for committing fraud, with full reference to reports left on here as well as my own experience and informa each company of the consequences of an ongoing with relationship with a company such as webloyalty aka reservationrewards.

And to think this party is offering "credit card protection services" at one of their many subdomains:

credit-card-fraud-protection.reservationrewards.com/rrccfraudccp.asp

Couldn't come up with anything for this Vincent D'agostino for the whole state of CT. Nearest surrounding states turned up 4 possible results all in New Jersey. It's probably a fictitious name but I'm going to see if there is anything useful at these numbers monday at a civilized hour (While its's not nice to harass innocents, they may know and be willing to assist due to their own personal dislike of this person known as Vincent). They could be family and turn into a legitimate lead if handled APPROPRIATELY.

I just finished reading the privacy policy and terms of service at res rewards and I wasn't a bit surprised to see how half a$$ed the party is at attempting to appear legit, or at how they come right out and say with a use of more less threatening words that they use trojans to glean their information and crosss reference it between sites to get you; in the same manner that they got my wife. I'm not sure what the law says in regard to using trojans to steal cc info for unauthorized use is but I'm pretty sure it's a crime.

BEWARE OF logistics of terms of use agreements and privacy policies - the system has decided to allow the following type of criminal element to freely reside and do "business" on the internet

what it boils down to is this. the system has decided to allow the following type of criminal element to freely reside and do "business" on the internet. If you closely read their TOS and privasy policy you can see that they come right out and say in so many words that they are protecting themselves from any harm or damages or consquences of any kind, and that they aren't really responsible for providing the user anything at all, and that they use trojan imaging to accomplish their goal of nickel and diming unsuspecting consumers whther they want to "subscribe" or not. Basically what they are saying is that they are going to take your money and that if you're too stupid to know what it says in their tos and privacy policy; that they will contine to do so. I guess the authorities are accepting the perpetrators idealogy of well if they're not caring enough to know then they're too stupid to hang onto their money. It's said that a fool and his\her moeny are soon parted. I guess this shows it's quite true. The internet is rapidly losing its' appeal.

Ghekko out. Have a nice day.

IT'S ALL A BIG RACKET- YOU SIMPLY CAN NOT TRUST ONLINE BUSINESS

There simply is no protection for the consumer making the mistake of buying anyting online, or buying into anything online; whether it be an idea service or product. It's just like Ebays' bull$hit square trade garuantee that recently caused hundreds of people to be defrauded of over a million dollars. Yeah, they finally caught this guy, but only because the people that lost the money took the law into their own hands and did the dirty work of leading the authorities to him. Ebay doesn't do $hit. Lousy 10 bucks back for a grand lost. What a rip eh? Crap like that is why I quit buying on ebay a LONG time ago.

Anymore the most I do is maybe do a search for something within my area and then I contact the buyer and if they want to do a person to person transaction then we deal. THAT'S THE ONLY WAY I DO IT ANYMORE. After having been ripped off by crooked sellers through ebay and seeing how pathetic their buyer protection truly is, their garauntees are crap. The only ones ebay are interested in protecting are THE SELLERS because the sellers that pay their fees ARE EBAYS BREAD AND BUTTER. Scru ebay.

Anyway, on with the update regarding reservation rewards aka webloyalty. *sigh* I discovered the reason his party has been getting away with this for so long and will probably continue to get away with it until the ftc and or fbi get enough complaints to push it far enough up the list of things to do. I did in fact file complaints with the relevant agencies - it doesn't take long but I don't expect significant results. I called Norwalk and found out that business licensing isn't done by the city it's handled by the state (wonder if that has anything to do with them moving from Shelton to Norwalk maybe Shelton got tired of phone calls regarding them). So I called the relevant number they gave me and the state told me something about due to the type of business it was they weren't required to have a bloody license.

Woof, I'm in the wrong state it seems. It's nice to know you can operate an online business selling discount club memberships without any license whatsoever.I guess. Somehow that seems retarded. Anyhow, I also called the Dept. of revenue to see if they had a tax id, because for all intensive purposes they have got pay taxes (cause see I'm thinking maybe I can send them up for tax evasion if nothing else). I may have found a quicksand pit for them there.

Did a search for webloyalty.com and reservation rewards.com (one and two words) and came up with zilch. So NOW I'm going to see what steps I need to take to report them to the IRS for tax evasion. They could be listed under a different name or something I dunno much about all that, I'll leave that to the irs to dig up (I mean after all they're so big on gettin every dime they shouldn't mind takin a brief look at this dump to make sure all their ducks are in a row). Only other thing I can say about my efforts this morning is that I got the expected results from the local police dept. Talked to some detective who didn't wanna get off his lazy donut eatin a$$ to go over to merritt seven and report back with whatever he found (as if to find out if there is even an office belonging to this bunch of crooks there or not). Think I'll keep lookin' til I find someone in Norwalk willing to go over and take a look for me (I have my means\methods).

US BANK sucks too. They're in bed with aol. They'll never get a dime out of me for aol. Aol can go to hell. DON'T EVER USE AOL. NOT EVEN FOR THE "FREE TRIAL". Because what they will do is basically just refuse to cancel your service and bill your account whether you want it or not. USBANK doesn't give a $hit either. They sent an account I had with them 300 some dollars into the red, because I drew everything out but a couple dollars and told US Bank adamantly that aol was not authorised to incur any further charges to the account. They did anyway.

Scru aol and US BANK both. Guess I should be glad I wasn't one of the unfortunate hundreds possibly thousands of people getting scrued on their mortgages through US Bank. Crime and corruption and deception seems to be the accepted norm anymore. And what recourse are we left with? Filing complaints. Wow man. I'm impressed. Whatever. I just don't understand the logic behind scruing ones' customers. It seems self destructive. I guess they depend on a fresh generation of idiots every couple of years to help keep them all in business.

Vigilante groups need to be formed or something. Systems' busted a$$ just don't work, don't do it's job anymore. H*ll,.. I do mine - I go to work. I pay the d@mn bills. I keep the wolf away. Why the h*ll are these businesses gettin away with the crap they are? Because we're depending on a crooked a$$ system that doesn't do it's job anymore. And yet they still expect us to respect them. whatever.
