WLI Reservation Rewards ripoff Shelton Connecticut
WLI Reservation Rewards debited my checking account for 9.00 without my knowledge nor authorization. I was using expedia.com to compare prices for plane tickets. I was asked for my debit/credit card information and was not told that I would be charged for the transaction.
I found out about the charge on my online bank statement while reconciling a discrepency between my checkbook balance and my balance online. I saw the charge and immmediately thought "Aha! I don't remember paying for this."
I googled WLI Reservation Rewards and I stumbled upon this site. I immediately filed a dispute with my bank as instructed.
The bank closed out my debit card and are issuing me a new one in the mail. They also are mailing me out a dispute form to fill out and mail back to them. They told me that they would credit my checking account the $9.00 I was charged.

I called the WLI Reservation Rewards and explained to them what happened and they said they would reverse the charge. Before then, I filed a dispute with my bank and they closed out my debit card and are issuing a new one. It sucks not having a debit card, but it's worth not risking any other unauthorized transactions. It beats having to close and open another checking account.
