When I recieved my bank statement, I noticed a $7.00 charge that I did not authorize on my debit card. I have never talked to, ordered, or even visited this website. I don't even understand how they were able to get my account number for access to my money.

Have you been shopping online?

#2Consumer Suggestion

Thu, July 24, 2003

If you were shopping online, the information was sold to a 2nd or 3rd party Merchant, not visible by you. Now, if you have not been shopping online, I truly am stumped. For now the only way they get your personal account information is from an online business, that you purchased something from, but only online. Did you order flowers for someone? Did you just become a new member to Classmates.com or some other group? If you can determine where you shopped, you may want to contact the webmaster of the site, and tell them not to give out your personal information.

One web site after another will say they keep your information private, but the truth will come out in their "Privacy Policy". If you read statements like: "We will customize your shopping experience". This is a bad sign.

Either way have your bank or credit card company dispute the charge, and have your name removed from their subscription plan. They have you as a member at www.reservationrewards.com. If not, they will charge you on a monthly basis.

For peace of mind, I would treat it as theft, and change my debit card number, it's up to you. Access Category: Credit Card Fraud or Keyword: WLI*Reservation Rewards for more information.

If possible, get back to us, and post the web site you shopped at, which gave your personal information away. This will help to warn others.

Hope this helps.
