Complaint Review: WLI Reservations

About two months ago I went to www.fandango.com to purchase movie tickets, and the next two months I was charged $9.00 to my credit card with a "WLI Reservations" monthly membership fee.

I had no idea what this was and did not remember signing up for any special promotions. I called the company (WLI Reservations) but they can only reimburse me for the current monthly charge because they use monthly memberships. I did not sign up for any memberships with them online but I did receive spam mail from their site often to the same email address that I had used with Fandango.com.

This charge to my credit card was unauthorized. I think this was an attempt to entice people to click on some promotion page after making an online purchase.

What made me decide to make this report? First, the charge was unauthorized and I can only get back $9.00 from the $18.00 that charged to my credit card. Second, when I did a search on www.google.com I found another entry for this same company on 2/11/04 on this site (Ripoffreport.com).
