Wolf & Goat Jesse Hathaway DiazTroy Chambers No goods shipped after multiple promises Bronx, NY Internet
On August 29, 2015 I placed an order on the Wolf & Goat website for some oils, soaps and powders; my order totalled just under $120. I was aware at the time that it may take longer to get my items as there was a sale going on and the two owners, listed above, did say on their website that it might take longer. Several weeks went by and I received no items and no tracking info, nor was I contacted, though their website says the following:
Please keep in mind that Wolf & Goat is the venture of two individuals, who cover all functions of the store, and creation of its products. Shipping on in stock items may take up to 10-15 business days from time of purchase; should this become any greater, we will contact you.
Finally, a month later, I received an email stating the following:
Deborah,
Just wanted to give you an update on your order. Still chugging along trying to catch up, thank you as always for your patience. We are currently at the Esoteric Book Conference in Seattle, WA for the weekend. We will return back home to the Bronx mid week next, and your package should be among the first to go out. We appreciate your continued patronage, and hope you have a wonderful weekend! Hope this finds you well.
Warm Regards,
Jesse
Co-Owner, Wolf & Goat
After I recieved this, I assumed that I would recieve my goods shortly thereafter, but I did not. After many weeks of waiting, I sent an email on 11/11/15 and received this reply:

I'm glad to hear that my reporting what happened to me has helped you--or anyone, for that matter--to get their money back or decide to trust other sellers of similar goods. You should know that I did eventually receive my money, but only AFTER I posted a link to this ripoff report in several Facebook groups that I belong to who have regular customers of W&G. I also had to reach out to a moderator of their page, Fiona Benjamin, and ask for her assistance. It put her in an awkward spot, because she runs her own business but works in conjunction with W&G. While she was not willing to acknowlege what they did was wrong, I did receive this communication from J Wolf & Goat within a week or so of reaching out to Fiona:
Note from Wolf & Goat:
Deb, We heard through Fiona that you still had not received your package from August, and while we have it marked that it shipped, I am compelled to refund you your money. You have my sincerest apologies that you have had such a negative experience, and that emails seem to have been lost. For what its worth, I'll be boxing up a duplicate of your order to send to you, I hope you still like the merchandise. Best Regards, Wolf & Goat
Mind you, I did get a refund for around the same amount, minus a few pennies. I honestly believe that their bookkeping is terrible, and if they couldn't keep track of the fact that it wasn't shipped, then their business practices are shaky at best all around.
Oh, and the "duplicate" of the order? Surprise! It has never arrived.
I would treat any dealings with this online store with suspicion and simply find another retailer of similar goods. Even if what they sell is high quality and genuine (which I doubt), it's pretty likely that you'll never get it anyway.

I had a very similar experience with Wolf and Goat. I ordered over $100 worth of items during a sale and never received them. I got many of the same generalized emails as Deb, though my emails were rarely if ever responded to.
I began asking after my items once 2 months or so had passed. I was told they would ship the next day, needless to say they didn't. Then the holiday season rolled around and I got distracted with other stuff, but once the New Year began I sent several emails to W&G and none of them were responded to.
When I did finally get a hold of the seller via social media, I was told by Jesse that my items would ship and be here in a few days. I waited roughly a week before contacting again and asking for a tracking number but never received a response.
By this time it had been 5 months and I still had not received my items. I filed a claim/dispute with PayPal and was eventually refunded. W&G, Troy, and/or Jesse never bothered to respond to the PayPal dispute and it was judged in my favor. I took the money and spent it on a retailer who treats their customers better.
I find it amusing that W&G continues to hold sales and special offers, even though they obviously can't keep up with the business they already have. It leads me to believe they may just be trying to get as many orders as they can and hope that they can stall people until they can no longer file a claim.
My advice would be use a different seller, or if you have to use W&G, let them know in advance you won't be strung along. Maybe then they'll actually ship what you paid for.
NOTE: Deb if you read this, I want to thank you because I used your post, along with many other negative reviews, in my complaint. I don't know if it helped, but it certainly demonstrated a trend with W&G not filling orders.
