Complaint Review: Wolverton & Associates Realty

Gay Fundling of Galveston Island Reality is a white collar crook.  She smiles in your face and lies and cheats when you look away.  We spoke to her in regards to all these problems and she acted concerned that day.  Then two days later she offered us $100 and hung up on me over the phone.  We were shocked.  She is the definition of "Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde".  DO NOT TRUST HER, renters, investors and buyers beware.  She also has some very shaddy real estate history.  Be careful, she is very slick and a fantastic liar.

Galveston Island Realty is a resort rental property that my family and I have used for several years. We even got married on the deck of a property called "Coral Reef". Every experience with this realty company has been good, EXCEPT for our last visit there July 25- July 28.

We rented the "Coral Reef" property for our yearly family vacation. Upon arrival the outside of the house had trash over the front yard from open trash blowing from the trash bin.

Once the family entered the house and started getting settled some of us went onto the upper deck and as soon as we opened the door we were slapped in the face with a very pungent and foul odor. The odor was coming from a bucket that apparently was used for fishing and had been sitting and festering in the sun.

Towards the end of the first night on the property everyone was trying to go to bed and discovered there were several unsanitary and visibly dirty bed linens. So we used the few fresh sheets that we did have for that night.

On the bottom deck of the the home on the fishing pier there was a section of about 3-4 planks of wood on walkway that was unsafe and also had several protruding nails. The hazardous area wasn't marked in any way and we were not informed of the hazard. 

Due to this, several members of my family tripped on it and fell and my brother in-law even twisted and sprained his ankle, which immediately was brusied and swollen. Unfortunately he was unable to participate in the rest of our family plans.  My husband also tripped and hurt his neck, back, and head.

The dishes in the kitchen were also very filthy. Every item we pulled out of the cabinet or drawers had to be washed prior to use because of dried food particles on everything.

Furthermore, the laundry area at the bottom was full of random dirty and clean laundry.  And on the last night we always have a cook out and bought a bunch of food to BBQ after we left the beach at 9pm on the last night. When we went to light the grill we found it to be very dangerous with exposed propane pipes that had been rusted and cut.  Complete fire and safety hazard.

We also encountered several areas of ants and several large cockroaches on both levels of the house.

In closing, we have pictures and video that we took on our phones to document this terrible experience.  My husband and brother in-law have seen doctors for their injuries and we have pending lawsuits against Gay Fundling, Wolverton Rentals, and Galveston Island Realty.  These are true rip off artist.  Use caution.
