This Hospital did something GREAT for me! They diagnosed a problem I have been having for YEARS. Before diagnosis I would go to the ER (at other hospitals)when my arm turned blue and painfull. They would look at it and write me a script for Percocets and send me home! This got really irratating after a while...percocets are great but you can't live on them! So one Sunday afternoon I called my father to pick me up and bring me to the ER. He suggested we go to WMC/ SVH. I said OK and we went. The wait was not to long and we were in the back room. The Doctor was very nice and was concerned about my pain and she ordered a Morphine shot. After that she looked me over and said "This is beyond my expertise, I am calling the Vascular people down to get an opinion from them!" Those words were music to my ears! They came down and immediately admitted me into the Hospital (why the other places never did is beyond me!) I was taken upstairs to a private room and iven access to all the pain meds I needed and the put me on Heparin to thin the blood. The next morning I was seen by a surgeon and he ordered alot of tests. In the end I was diagnosed with Thorassic Outlet Syndrome. Something that is very painfull. They are now scheduling surgury and I should feel alot better! I thought I would post something NICE for a change about a hospital! And with them about to end 20 tears of pain is any bill to high?
