Word Wise Copy is a communications firm (home-based) operated by owner Steve Evans. The firm worked for more than (3) years with Hales Global, which spent thousands of dollars monthly for his services. All payments were made via a direct deposit at Bank of America, personal checking account of Christy Cotten. Why would a 20 year business still not have a business account, telephone number or professional business email address makes you wonder what is Steve Evans hidding? In the third year, one of our energy clients was preparing for a Wall Street IPO. A lot of communication materials were required, which might have put a strain on Steve Evans, who worked alone as a communications one-man, do-it-all shop. Given his work load and our client's demand, Word Wise Copy did not meet expected deadlines. In fact, deadlines were often pushed back and further back. Three years of spending top dollars for services you would have think that Word Wise Copy/Steve Evans would deliver on-time services and within the original budget. This was not the case. It was known that Hales Global was the contractor and Word Wise Copy was the subcontractor. Because of the delays caused by Word Wise Copy the energy firm cancel the project and did not pay Hales Global and canceled the IPO contract offering, we lost our fees and a bonus. Our attorney attempted to work out a settlement with Word Wise Copy but was unsuccessful. Hales Global has been hiring and working with independent contractors around the world. We've seen our fair share of flakes. You know them: They don't deliver what they promised on time, fail to communicate, and fail to deliver on basic requirements. Those are the people we try once, then never work with again. Word Wise Copy and Steve Evans is not deserving of your business. The best of the best take constructive criticism well. Steve Evans has turned angry and combative from a situation that he created. He is and excuse maker for his failure to deliver on-time communication packages.

Look around on Ripoff Report and you will see the reports on Hales Global. The sleazy owner filed a report against my company more than four months after I first reported him for non-payment of a bill that he still owes.
I posted his year-old bill on Ripoff Report in August 2013. Hales Global has owed this debt since April 30, 2012. He had nearly a year and a half to pay the bill before I wrote a complaint about him.
Did he do the honorable thing and pay his bill? Hell, no.
In November 2013, he filed a frivolous and completely false complaint about my company. He contradicts his own statements. Look elsewhere on this site and you will see that he does not even know which of his former clients he is talking about. Hales makes crazy accusations, flails around and flaps his arms like a histrionic chicken -- all in an effort to create a diversion from the truth: he is an untrustworthy cheat and a liar who owes money and refuses to pay it. He has made no effort to pay his bill. His lawyer has made no effort to pay it, despite Hales' ridiculous claims. This "man" has even offered to pay a bonus! He promises many grand things, none of which come to pass.
Now he is engaging in defamation on the Ineternet in an effort to divert attention from the simple fact that he owes people money and has shown no sign whatsoever that he intends to pay.
Avoid Hales Global. I have accumulated records of his dissatisfied clients who paid thousands of dollars to Hales Global in consulting fees and received no government contracts. ZERO.
Hales claims on his website that his "company" secured millioons of dollars in contracts within the last year for clients. If you are considering doing business with this clown, you would be wise to demand proof.
My company's only mistake was trusting Hales to pay his bill. He is on record as being satisfied with the work and made several vague promises to pay for it -- BUT HAS NEVER DONE SO.
Perhaps he has been in Washington D.C. too long, breathing his own fumes, and the stench has clouded his mind. Regardless, the truth is not within this man.

Larry Hales is a degenerate liar whose mental health has been called into question by many of his clients -- a likely reason his business is going to fail. Larry Hales has NEVER paid his debt to Word Wise Copy. His attorney has NEVER contacted Word Wise Copy with any offer to pay the bill owed by Hales Global.
Larry Hales has misrepresented himself and contradicts his own written statements. So at least half of what Hales says is nothing but a lie. Which half is it, Larry? Either way, you have not paid your bill and you are lying about making any effort to pay it. Shame on you.
In addition, every work product ever prepared for larry hales was delivered on time and to larry hales' WRITTEN SATISFACTION. Only now, a year and a half later, does he make up a bunch of nonsense and lies about "late work" -- all in an effort to avoid paying a bill he knows he owes.
The work did not involve an IPO. That is another lie. The work was for one of larry hales aborted business schemes, something he called the "Wallstreet Showcase Directory" for women and minority owned businesses. The work involved creation of multiple pages of web content, a brochure, and a list of guest speakers for an event that hales allegedly scheduled in July 2012.
Hales' latest statements are gibberish. Word Wise never prepared ANY work product related to ANY IPO on behalf of Hales Global.
Hales is making veiled references to a failed deal he tried to broker between Sidel Systems and Waxiang, a Chinese company. Sidel Systems' founder chose not to pursue the deal. Hales immediately found a competitor of Sidels' and then tried to broker a deal between the competitor and Wanxiang.
Hales failed to strike a deal satisfactory to Sid Abma, the founder of Sidel Systems. This failure by larry hales had nothing to do with Word Wise Copy.
All of this is known because Larry Hales voluntarily shared the information -- IN WRITING. When Sidel refused to do a deal, little larry didn't get his money, so he decided to stiff his contractors.
This is not the way honorable men do business. But it's business as usual at Hales Global. The man is a flake, a liar and a cheat. Avoid Larry Hales as you would a disease.
