Work of Genius is a reality show filmed in Miami set to air on Fox in January 2010. Unfortunately they have not paid their crew for the 6+ weeks of work we did for them. The Vine Studio LLC, the creators of Work of Genius, are now producing another show at the Eden Roc in Miami! Artist were NOT paid, People that worked hard and believed in this production have NOT been paid. Even close friends of the MAIN producer (Gino Cabanas) got stiffed. A search on Facebook shows a few stories, and even a search will reveal were the STATE of TEXAS stopped Gino from taking money from people. http://www.ssb.state.tx.us/Enforcement/files/1665.pdf The websites for the production seemed to have been turned off for non payment as well, since when you goto them http://www.theworkofgenius.com and http://www.theworkofgenius.net they say that they are suspended. Anyone that knows the hosting company or people in control of the sites, please contact me here, and I will contact them to get the facts. The kicker to all this is, Gino has the balls to come to Miami and try to do another show, when people he screwed are trying to deal with keeping there houses and make payments since Gino didnt see fit to pay them. Also, I know of a few bad checks that got written, and if you are the owners of one of these famous bounced checks, please get in touch with me as well.. as I have spoken to the officials in California and writing bad checks is a big deal. (and they do go after bad check writers) I have also spoken to some folks in Florida who are interested in looking at this, as it seems to be a repeating pattern. Gino and staff go around saying that FOX television has offered MILLIONS for the show, that Lamborgino is involved and that all these hi-profile people are wanting to be part of this show. The truth is , every person I have spoken too states they have been ripped off. The list of producers for this show were stated as:

The list keeps growing as I get emails daily on more and more information. (thank you too all of you that step up and send me info) The objective here is too stop more people from getting taken and put in a bad position because these guys dont pay the bills of hard working people.

We were also burned by Ernest Cartwright and his fellow cons :( After a bunch of empty promises and $60K later, we are now taking both civil and criminal legal action against the Cartwright mob. If any other victims are willing to come forward, please call (((ROR redacted))) ASAP

Hello,
I noticed that Ernest Cartwright was listed as a producer for this show where no employees were paid. I am not surprised. I worked as a personal assistant to Ernest for a short time and decided to quit after he stopped paying me. I recently took him to small claims court and won. He claims to be a big shot producer, however he is unable to come up with $500 plus dollars to pay an employee. Stay away from this guy, he's a fraud.

You got be joking ...
Do you think the guys over at Media Enterprises ( Brad Spencer and Bill McAlister) understand what Gino and gang has done to people in South Florida ??
And now they want to run another show, when they havnt even finished paying the people from the first show ??
I spoke to someone that is owed money, and they say that Gino just keeps saying he has all these investors lined up, and is waiting for one of them to write a check.
And of course, the story of the funds always being wired , or they are coming.. and I have been told and heard so many times that FOX television is buying the show, is putting it on prime time, Bull crap is what I say.
Someone emailed me (due to this posting) and said they have some more information for me, so I will keep everyone updated on the events.
