Worktree.com has been sending targeted mail to peopkle invoved in job searches. They claim to be the #1 job board site and invite prospects to join. Nowhere do they tell the prospect it is a fee-for-services company until the last screen in the sign-up process where they ask how much you would like to pay for the service.

Then, when you leave the site without signing up(because you are mad already that they have wasted your time), they harvest the detailed pertsonal information you filled in. They use this to remarket to you via email, and they probably sell the information as part of a list offering.

My personal letter was from "Susan Smith, Customer Loyalty Manager." I am neither a customer now, or loyal. In fact, I will do anything in my power to keep people from even looking at this site.

Here's the transcript of my letter to them:

"Dear Susan:

We are constantly barraged by job sites like yours. I did not sign up because you did not say it was a fee service until "the very last thing." As witnessed by this email, you alrready harvested my personal information even though I did not sign up.

Your service sucks, and I am placing this email and a more lengthy report on www.ripoffreport.com. Enjoy reading it."
