Complaint Review: World Adventures Travel / Simplicity Gourmet

My fiance and I recieved a phone call stating that we had won an all inclusive honeymoon. I asked how I won this trip they proceeded to tell me at a bridal show. We were told that in order to recieve the package we had to go to a REPUTABLE hotel about 30 minutes from our home. We had been to so many shows and entered so many contests that this could actually be true so we made the trip.

We get there and are greeted by a man (who has an ear to ear grin probably saying to himself SUCKERS) and says are you here for the honeymoon prize.
We say yes and proceed to find out we have to sit through an hour cooking show and at the end we will eat a gourmet dinner(grilled chicken, broccoli, and carrots OHH what joy) so we sit, listen, yawn, listen a little more, yawn again, and finally the dinner.

after eating and listening to all the sales pitches we find out that you have to take out a small mortgage to buy these pots and pans. forget about that give us our package so we can be on our way. so here we are now thinking about how fortunate we are. we recieve a letter in the mail call the number ask a few questions and get hung up on. i also failed to mention that the hosts insisted that this was not a time share offer. this is not right to do to people especially when there is enough stress from preparing a wedding.
