I was contacted by World Benefits offering me a credit card with a credit limit of $2500.00 for a $299.00 fee. The person who called me said her name was Diana and her HN#:5068. She gave me a contract#: 605580. I was promised my package and credit card in 15 days of the money being taken out of my checking account, which was on Oct.27,2003. I received the package on 11/25/03, no credit card included.
I called World Benefits 11/26/03 and talked to someone named Jonathon (he did not give me a HN# or anything). He told me I would receive my credit card within a week. Nothing came.
Since then, I have talked to another Jonothan and an Irene. I have been disconnected from two other anonymous people and deliberately hung up on by still two other anonymous people.
At this point, when I call and finally get passed the busy signal, I get a recording and then put on hold and then disconnected before I can even talk to a real person. When I try to go to the website address I received in my "package" I get a page that says I am not authorized to view that page.
So I performed a search and came across this site and am now filing a report.
