UPDATE: Click Here to see how World Benefits contacts Rip-off Report, stating they will give REFUNDS to unsatisfied customers, working harder to avoid employee & customer misunderstandings.

I got a call from a representative of World Benefits in the middle of September 2003 offering me a chance to rebuild my credit. They informed me that if I pay them an initial fee of $299 I would receive a stored value credit card with a $2000 limit.

Now it is January 2004 and I have received only a packet of information labelled "Your Search for a Brighter Future Starts Here". The packet does not contain any credit card and when you go to the website http://worldbenefits/myprogrambenefits.com you can only find links to other credit cards and credit repair kits (along with information on Automobiles, Travel and Leisure, Healthcare, Technology, etc....) which is not what I intended to sign up for.

Within the first 2 months of signing up I was told repeatedly that I should wait for the credit card but I still have not received any credit card. I have tried calling them recently but normally there is not anybody available to answer the phone even after waiting 30-45 minutes on hold.

When I finally did get in touch with someone they told me that they are not offering credit cards and there was not a manager that I could talk to. I feel like I was falsely let into this under the guise of repairing my credit but I have been given everything but help with my credit.

If anybody knows anything about this company or has had success recovering their money please contact me. I have only a part time job and I am trying to build my credit but this has put me in an even worse position. Please help me out.
