I bought a 2003 Mercedes Benz S430 from world motors in March 08. When I purchased the car, it looked great and because they said this car was Carfax certified I didn't think twice.

As I was driving down the street after picking the car up I noticed none of the right side electronics were working. The passenger side windows, seat, & mirror were not functional. I immediately called world motors and talked with Tyler to let him know of the problem.

After talking on the phone for 25 minutes, I was told to take the car to a private auto shop to get fixed, two weeks later, problem solved. Also, after washing the car only twice, paint started to peel away from the front and back bumper and when I spoke with world motors about the paint, I was told I needed to pay $400 to get the paint fixed from their private detailer.

Now for the main problem. I recently was told, I am relocating for work and because of this I have to part with the car. I took the car into a dealership (not a private one) to trade it in. I found the vehicle I wanted and began the process. They came back with a trade offer for my car, the offer was $13000. $13000 for a 2003 S430 only 54000 miles, interior in great shape and a NADA trade in value of $25800. I told them they were crazy and need to come up with a lot more money. The sales person then told me that on the carfax report this car had been in 2 major accidents. ALL the airbags in the vehicle deployed along with breaking the driver side seat belt. The mechanic at the dealer, then began to show me cracks in the frame, new fenders, airbags, glass, and many other things that were involved in two different accidents. And with all that damage, the car is barely worth $13000. Also, the mileage on the carfax report lists the mileage at 54,300 in January 08, I bought the car in March 08, with 49,xxx miles.

Isn't this illegal for an auto dealership not to disclose all these defects and the sever damage this car has had? Is AZ a FULL DISCLOSURE state?

You should have pulled your own CarFax report or demanded to see the one they pulled!

Just common sense here!
