Complaint Review: World Moving Services - Nationwide Relocation

World Moving Services aka Nationwide Relocation and Movingcost fraudulently stole all of my possesions. I am going to relate a horrific story that would be one you couldnt believe if you saw it on television.

My contract dated 1/15/05 was for $2948.97 based on 3,654 pounds and 35 boxes with all packing and material. I was to be picked up on 1/20 to 1/29 in Columbia Falls, Mt and have my belongings delivered to Wilkes-Barre, PA on 1/25 to 2/5.

I spoke with larry on the 29th when they did not arrive and told him that I had to be on the road. He informed me that if I left a key with a neighbor that he would make a note and the movers could pack without me there. I had NO choice and left for PA.

When the movers arrived the following day they called from my neighbors and chewed me out for leaving my home a mess. He critiscized me for the way I lived. He did all this in front of my neighbor ( very embaressing). I informed him that it was a mess because we already packed half the house for him.

2/1 came and I called the neighbors to tell the driver to call me as he had no cell phone he was willing to use. I heard from no one. 2/2 came and I got a call from the mover. I told him to make sure he followed the list I left for him. I made it clear to not take ANY appliances. My contract showed no appliances either. He called me bad names because he had already loaded the refrigerator. I repeated NO appliances.

My mother calls me and says that the driver is worried because an antique firebox that he saw the day before is now missing. Value on this is est at $1500.00. I inform Mindy at WRS I am very unhappy. We agree that before I pay, we do a physicall inventory to find out what is missing. We then will decide upon final payment after inventory.

2/2 Came and my neighbor said that the workers seemed to be fighting alot and that a new one was there today. One of the previous workers was not there. I was told they they only worked from about 1pm to 4pm each day.

2/3 And I hear the truck is packed and should be on its way. I am called by landlord and informed the washer and dryer were taken. I called Mindy at WMS and informed her. She said she would have the truck take it back. I informed her of the way the driver treated me.

2/4 No appliances returned.

2/5 No delivery in PA of course. I call and ask where the truck is and speak again with Mindy. I am informed that it is somehow in Texas and they are exchanging drivers.

2/7 I call for info no return calls

2/8 I call with no answer. I ask for weight ticket they tell me they will call back later that day. Spoke with customer service.
no call back. This happened every day with much anger and frustration. On one day I was so upset that I spoke with Aldo DiSorb Sr himself and told him that I am reporting my stuff as stolen since no one could tell me where it was. He assured me he would find it.

2/9 I get a call from the Kalispell, MT police department. They wanted to let me know that they had an employee hove the movers in jail. He apparenlty had been pawning someones belongings and raped a woman with a pistol. During the conversation we were able to determine that it was probably my pistol, an old one my grandfather left for me. I was sure the rest of the stuff pawned was mine as the firebox was already missing.

2/10 I report to WMS what happened. Aldo calls me and informs me that he spoke with the police and assured me it was not my stuff. I told him I was now suing him and reporting my things as stolen as he still could not tell me when or where my truck was. He said he had pictures of my home and knew I lived like a pig. He said by the pictures he knew I couldnt possibly afford to sue him. He just kept slamming me and my life. We left disagreeing.

2/11 I speak with Mindy. She assures me truck is on its way and would be here soon.

I will stop with the dates because it could take forever. What proceeded was very frustrating for me, my wife and 2 kids of 6 and 4. Daily I asked for weight and daily I was promised it. It never came. We finally had a delivery attempt about the 23rd of Feb. We got our money together as Mindy now told me we had to pay before they would even unload. We argued about it but I finnaly gave in wanting my stuff so bad.

We agreed to meet at my house. Im informed that they will be there so I head to my place to be there waiting. On my way I get in a car accident and total my Jeep. While in the ER we get a call and we explain we cant meet them yet but in a few hours. Driver says he will do another local dropoff then. We get a call around 5pm from driver who says he will meet at my place now. I arrange for friend to take me. We give driver directions.

We wait for 30 minutes and he does not show up. We stood in the street the entire time. I finnaly call driver back from my cells caller ID. He says he came by the place and couldn fit his truck in. I tell him that is a lie and that I was here the entire time. I am literally standing in this wide street where we asked the neighbors to move cars off the road for extra room.

Driver says he is not coming period because he asked someone for directions and was told he wont fit.I am so exhasperated I tell him if he takes the stuff and leaves he is stealing it and I will call the cops. He says go ahead. We hop in our car and go looking for him. He is about six blocks up on the wrong side of our street (the narrow side), he came in the wrong way.

I call him again and tell him to follow us and we can show him. He again refuses. I see he is alone and tell him it is because he doesnt want to unload my stuff alone in a 2 story place. He hangs up on me and drives out of town.

We follow while I call 911 and report my stuff as stolen. The police are dispatched and we go back to our place where the Lietenatnt tells us it is a civil matter but he is willing to testify that delivery at our address is possible. He asks for drivers number to call and convince him to come back but only gets voicemail.

WMS is closed and we must wait another day. The following day I am so upset and make many calls to WMS and finnaly get ahold of Larry in dispatch. He tells me the driver can come back if I can meet him with a Uhaul and he will transfer load. I inform him I cannot drive. He says if I find no one to drive a truck for him my stuff is just going to go in storage somewhere. I freak out, I was just injured in an accident the previous day and had no one to drive a truck for him. I assure him its not my responsability.

I tell him I spoke with the landlord and the previous tenant had a semi deliver his stuff too. So there is no reason the current truck cant come. Im told I am no truck driver and dont know what I am talking about. I then ask him why I should be expected to drive a truck for him what with my obvious lack of experience. He says that my stuff is going in storage and he hung up on me.

It took days for anyone to take my call again and I asked for days how much I owed with storage and all final costs. It took a week to get a faxed bill of approximatly 2500 balance after my 1075 deposite. 600 more than estimate. They added extra weight to my bill. Extra weight is Washer and Dryer.

I have currently contracted a Broward County attorney who is aggressivly pursuing this "organized family crime". I have also filed with the DOT a complaint and they are trying to help me get my things back because if I pay then I will lose my right to sue. It will show I am in agreement with contract.

I have been without my things now for over 2 months and have nothing for my family to live on. We now have no vehicle nor belongings. But I will not pay and will pursue Aldo DiSorbo until I get my things Back and a deposit refund. Please give me your suggestion.
