World Voice Link ..lied to and decieved! ripoffs *Another victim
On the evening of July 25, 2001 I recieved a call from World Voice and a woman explained to me that I had been picked from a few to recieve a free pager with a 30 day free trial. And then if I decided to keep the service I would pay only $19.95/ month billed to my phone bill but that even if I didnt want to keep it then I would still keep the pager.
I asked her if there was any charge that would be made to my phone during the 30 day free trial and she told me no. I would only be billed $19.95/ month after the 30 days. After I accepted the offer I was told that she had to confirm my inf and to hold. I heard a computerized voice and then someone pushing buttons when ask to confirm I had to say my name and address and phone number.
After this then I was told by this computerized voice that there would be a non refundable charge of $29.95 to my phone bill but that I could cancell service at any time. As of today, Aug. 10, 2001 I have not recieved a pager but did get this letter stating they have charged my phone companny $49.90 for this pager and activation fee.
I called the World Voice Link and told them what was tlod to me by this woman and that I wanted to cancell now! They told me that I would be credited the $19.95 charge but that I would still have to pay the$29.95! I was so mad! I was lied to and decieved!
They dont record what is being said to you by this person that calls you but then after telling you that you have been chosen to get a free pager and free 30 days then they send u to confirm by computer and when u say your name, address and phone number they have you!

I noticed in Sept. of 2001 that my phone bill was higher then usual. I couldn't understand why but in looking over my phone bill a little more careful I noticed this WORLD VOICE LINK charge of $21.85. I called the phone company and they told me that it was an outside vendor and I would need to talk to them...they also told me that I've been getting charged by WORLD VOICE LINK since June of 2001.
I looked over more bills since June 2001 and sure enough....so I called WORLD VOICE LINK and spoke to someone and that assured me that I requested the service and I even listed to a voice recording....yes it sounded like me. Guess what it sounded like me. I told him that I don't remember this at all and that I wanted to cancel the service and to be credited since I have not used the service. He says SORRY!!! but since this was you we can not issue a credit but I will cancel the service....I say has this service been used by me...he says no you havn't even activated it but you did receive you information in the mail ( which I probably thought was JUNK MAIL and threw away!) and had the potential of using the service!!!! Now we are in September this was as of June and since I was able to utilize I can't receive a credit. It is not thier fault I don't use the service!!!
Now in October I was billed again I call and again I was assured the service is cancelled. November the same except now no one is answering the phone it just rings all through Januray. Finally someone answers and I again tell them to CANCEL my service with no results. Mean while I keep calling My Phone company who keep telling me that WORLD VOICE LINK can only credit this off my bill.....while my phone bill keeps getting higher. My phone company have been really good in not turning off my PHONE!!!! Now it is April 2002 and I'm still getting billed....in March 2002 my phone company called themselves to get this service credited and to cancel service.....this was at the beginning of March my phone bill dated end of March....I still got BILLED!!! My phone company said they can't credit me and bill it back to WORLD VOICE LINK.....I'm at a loss!!! I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO!!! If my phone company can't help me WHO CAN?

I WAS LIED TO BY WORLD VOICE LINK TOO. THEY HAD TOLD ME THAT I WILL GET A FREE $100 AND SOMETHING DOLLARS PAGER FREE.
IF I TRIED A THE SERVICE FOR 30 DAYS AND I WILL BE BILL $19.95 A MONTH AND TOLD ME ALL OF THE GOOD SERVICE IS WILL GET WHERE I COULD CALL ANYWHERE IN THE UNITED STATE USING THE 1-800 NUMBER AND ONLY BE BILL $19.95 A MONTH. WHICH THAT WAS A LIE.
I CALL THEM BACK IN SEPTEMBER,OCTOBER,AND DECEMBER TO CANCEL MY SERVICE YOU THINK THEY DID THAT NO THEY DIDNT.
IM STILL GETTING BILL FOR SERVICE. SO I CALL BACK JANUARY 8TH,02 AND ASK TO SPEAK WITH THE DEPARTMENT MANAGER. SO A LADY GETS ON THE PHONE ACT LIKES SHE IS GOING TO HANDLE BUSINESS.
I TOLD HER I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO CANCEL THIS SERVICE OVER THE LAST THREE OR FOUR MONTH SHE SAID SHE DIDNT SEE THE RECORD OF ME CANCELING. SHE ONLY SEE WHERE IT WAS JUST CANCEL IN DECEMBER. I TOLD HER I CALL OTHER MONTH PRIOR TO THAT AND THEY JUST DIDNT CANCEL.

BE SENT TO ME IN THE NEXT THREE WEEKS AND I HAD TO THE OCTOBER TO ACTIVATE THE PAGER FOR $49.90.
I SEE THAT WAS A LIE TOO. THEN I ASK HER WHAT WAS HER NAME SHE PAUSE AND SAID. GET THIS SHE SAID MR.JONATHAN, I SAID MR. JONATHAN YOU SOUND LIKE A WOMAN TO ME. SHE SAID WELL I AM A MAN.
ALL THE TIME I WAS CALLING HER MAM SHE WAS RESPONDING TO IT. THEN SHE TELL ME HER NAME WAS MR.JONATHAN.
I TOLD HER I HAD PULL UP ON INTERNET THAT THEY WERE RIPPING PEOPLE OFF. SHE DIDNT SAY TOO MUCH ABOUT THAT. I ALSO TOLD HER THAT SHE AND THOSE PEOPLE SHE GOT IN THERE WORKING AND LYING FOR
