I answered an add in the newspaper, the add gave me an impression I was going to interview for a warehouse position. So I went on my day of observation it was totally different. I ended up in Inglewood at a check cashing spot selling watches. I'll admit I was suprised what I saw, I didn't know what to think but I had a open mind so I thought I would give it a shot. I made a little money the next day so I never thought I could do somethng like this. Here I was 19 years old still wet behind the ears, naive too.

So, I went on my own the following day and I totally bombed, and at that point I felt like quitting, and the funny thing was everytime I went through hardships the manager was always candy coating the situation and for some reason he always seem to influence me to continue, no matter what.

One of the reasons I stuck with the company was because when I first started I went to one the company rallies, it was a huge convention in which all the local offices in california got together for this huge meeting. I was locked in at that point. The time I spent with the company I went through many hardships.

At the tme I had trouble with my vehicle and unfortunately I didn't have the money to fix it. So the manager thought it would be a good idea to start saving money, so by the time I had money saved to have it fixed. I had some bounced checks from a saleit ended up costimg me $700. I can't remember the exact amount, but I never saw any of that money I worked for.

I did not recieve any help whatsoever, and the owner had my car towed to someone he knew and I never saw my car again because during that time Our owner convinced us to work with him in his hometown in northern california. I spent a total of 4 years chasing a dream and unfortunately never became an owner.

I can't even count how many times I thought about quitting, I regret not quitting sooner I waisted 4 years of not making any money, getting ripped off. Throughout my time with the company I had worked in about 8 different offices, and one of the last offices we worked out of I had a couple of hundred dollars in my account, you think I would've learned the first time except for my owner decided to skip town to work with his owner, a now a v.p., and he left without paying me.

So here I am working with the same company in someone elses office living an apartment with 8 people, struggling, no car, very little money, I had already spent so much time with the company I told myself if I had quit school, left my hometown, friends and family, I had to become an owner no matter what so during that time I finally had my 3 trainers and at this time my friend I started with became an owner after about 3 years. I was excited for him he deserved it.

I also got promoted to assistant manager, and that time I was so excited I thought my oppotrunity I worked for so long was finally becoming a reality. So when I got promoted the owner who we were working for though it would be a good idea to work out of his branch office in arizona, I did not realize his intentions at the time but I thought it over and it made sense to me he wanted to exploite me further and make money off me rather to see me grow and get what I deserved.

I trusted so many people and I realized people were only in this bussiness for themselves. I lost time, money, friends, a car. I never built a crew in arizona and I thought I would be able to rebuild my crew all over again that never happened I finally decided to quit so I left northern california back home where I should've stayed all along.
