In March of 2004, I contacted Rob Hawkens of World Wide K-9 in reference to a Giant Schnauzer. I told him I wanted and adult that was house trained, crate trained, good with kids, and had basic obedience skills. He told me he had an 18 month old male that would fit my criteria. He insisted that I wire him the money, $2,500.00 for this AKC registered dog, whos parents were imported from Czech. Two days later I went to the airport to pick up the dog. No AKC papers, and no vet records except a rabies tag.

The dog was filthy. I took him home and he proceeded to destroy my house. I called everyday, for 3 weeks, and talked to him and his wife Lisa. They assured me it was just an adjustment period. Finally, I told them I wanted my money back, and the dog sent back, as well. THey refused. I had not signed a single contract. They sent me a "contract" stating that they would only replace the dog. No refunds. I had taken the dog to the vet, and he discovered the dog had Enamel Hypoplasia, no enamel on his teeth. THis is usually caused by a high fever when they are pups, mainly from Distemper.

I faxed the vet report 3 times, with no response. Rob quit answering my phone calls, instead using his secretary as a medium. Finally, she agreed to take the dog back. The following week he was sent back to Texas.

From June of 2004, to June of 2005, we called at least 5 times a week, inquiring about a replacement. Nothing. So my husband went to Texas, to the facility, and demanded either our money, or the dog. Rob presented him with a dog that was matted to the skin from head to toe, and covered in feces. My husband refused the dog. So they bathed her, (nothing else) and gave her back to my husband. They promised AKC papers, and other health related papers. It is now April of 2006, and we have received nothing.

THe dog's teeth were black, and she is frightened of her own shadow. She has had at least 3 litters prior to our ownership, and only knows her name. Her brain is mush. She no longer retains the capacity to learn. Not to mention, I firmly believe she is at least 6-7 years old, not 2 like we were told.

Please beware of Rob Hawkens and WorldWide K-9. He claims to be a trainer for the local police departments, but they are becoming increasingly dissatisfied with his work. He will give you every excuse, going so far as to say he has been in the hospital for heart problems.

I am glad to hear the voices of others concerning this issue! I apologize for mis-typing the information, as my brain is mush from dealing with Rob Hawkins for so long.

As I stated before, there was no contract. The legalities for me are over as well, since to hire a lawyer, press charges, and travel everyone to Texas would cost more than the price of the dog, which was $2,500. This dog gets worse everyday. I have also heard of others that have received problem pups. And now the police departments that were going to him are starting to realize what a scam he really is. If anyone is having luck persueing this/him, or please post here. Or, if you would like to share your story with me personally, you may send me an email. It never hurts to have a support group, if nothing else!

.I have spent a hour or so writing my comments, and in a blink of the eye, I lost it all. I do have my own complaint to file and understanding the rules, I shall do so. My reason for asking to reply prior to doing so, is because of a legal time period. I realize and completely understand Jennifer and her families ordeal. The story could have been my own. Still trying to resolve. Won't happen. The dog I have, woke up a couple of months after I got him, not able to walk. A dog living in my house, not out of my site, and can hardly hold his weight up. First vet x-rays, need to work with someone that is more eqip. Bottom line, genetic disorder of the elbow, requiring surgery and, take it from there.

So much other information I can validate, but, I wanted to respond to Jennifer and her husband,in case there legal options are runnining out. Usually a year, depending.

After reading the artical Jennifer wrote, I realized there time frame for any compensation could be close to non existant. I do understand if they are exhausted and just take the loss and move on. This is what these people do, they lead you on, and they wear you down. I will submit my report within the next couple of days. If Jennifer cares to contact me, I have no problem her having any information I have posted with Rip-Off Report.com. My name , my email address or phone number. It would be nice to make a difference. I will do all in my power, and if I do not hear anything from ILLINOIS, my heart and prayers are with you. One thing of note. My coming across this story was something of an accident. This needs to be corrected for others to access the information. The companies name is Worldwide Canine Inc., Manager: Rob Hawkins, Spring Branch, Texas,78070.

The original title, Jennifer used, although the same in content, doesn't allow others typing in the legal name to have access. If someone were to type in the correct way the company has its name documented, zero results come up.

Let your story be heard. I can not thank you enough. Re-Title: WORLDWIDE CANINE INC. manager:ROB HAWKINS - LIES,FRAUD,RIPOFF,MILLER,SPRING BRANCH, TEXAS,78070, ph: 830-885-5948

I know I need to file my complaints before responding, but for the sake of a legal time frame, I hope this will be accepted. Jennifer , you and your husband are not alone. I read your article and for the most part it is all that I have encountered, and still dealing with. One excuse after another. My story sadley enough, like yours, only will be resolved through a legal system. My intial investment almost $6,ooo.oo, and now the expenses continue to escalate.

The dog they sold me, not only, didn't have the training, that I was told I payed extra for, but he had no training at all. And niaive me, when they got here with the dog, instesd of 6 to 8 weeks, from payment as documented in the contract, it was 5 months later and serveral differnt dogs, that I was delivered my dog.
Have on video he isn't responding the way he should, and Rob saying this is acceptable. Too anxious to fianally getting a dog I had expected several months prior, somehow, someway, I bought it at that time. They said keep the dog on leash an in acrate the first 3 weeks, then start treating him as your own.

Okay got him August 1, 2005. the first week or a few days from there I woke up to a dog that could not walk. What could have happened. The dog was never out of my site, 24 hours a day. Many reasons, but I have a cat, that comes in and and out of the house, and my new dog wanted to kill her with a passion. Never out of my control or site. Took my dog to a local vet, He took x-rays, and recommended I go to the vet school, more than he could handle.

I took my aquired new dog to the veternarians I had used for over 25 plus years when necessary. They took x-rays and my world crumbled. A genetic disorder that reqired surgery, and with surgery if successfull, I was advised, for what I payed and wanted,I maybe should send the dog back. Spoke to Rob, send the dog back, will replace. Fine. What is going to happen to the dog. Up to now you already owe me close to
