I currently received a check in the mail from the World Wide Lotto Inc. there was this nice long letter along with it was a check for 2300.00 so I called the bank that was on the front of the check which was U.S Bank in Havre, Montana they said the account was valid but the letter was a lottery scam.

so I done my own research and found it I currently still have the check so im not out any money ye but if i wouldnt have done the research i would have cashed it im thinking about going to the news so noone will end up in trouble over stupid people they will get prosecuted hopefully some time soon.

DO NOT DEPOSIT !

Whatever you do,DO NOT deposit or try to cash that check! This is a scam.

File complaints with the FBI,the US Postal inspection service, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, the FTC,the OK Attorney General, the Ontario Ministry of Consumer and Commercial Relations, the Ontario Provincial Police,Western Union and PhoneBusters(Canada).

You can help catch these criminals.Tell the police that the criminals do not know that you are on to their scam.

The police can catch the people who go to Western Union to pick up the money.

This is similar to the advance fee loan scam.

The account is valid because it belongs to a previous victim who gave the scammers all of their account information.

And don't go to the news until the police get a chance to use the information to try to catch the criminals in the act.

Good job in doing your research. Also ask the bank what name is on the account.
