In August, 2000, after listening to a telephone solicitation from Worldcom Wireless, I received a cell phone. I attempted to call the 800 number for more information.

I could not get through, so I promptly sent the phone back through UPS (I still have the tracking number)But for more than a year Worldcom has billed me as if I were using their cellphone.

Please understand that I did not even remove the phone from the shipping carton. Early on, they called me about my bill. The collectors who called were powerless to accept or even discuss an explanation, but advised me to call another number (which they did not have).

But I did find and call other Worldcom numbers. In every case but one I got recorded messages saying "that due to heavy call volume..." etc. "please call back." On the one occasion that I did get through, the operated took the UPS tracking number and agreed that I did not Owe anything (by then they were demanding over $300.00. Nevertheless, the billings kept coming, and worst of all, I soon was contacted by a Bill Collection Agency.

Worldcom Wireless has set up barriers to prevent communication with them and in my case they have fabricated fraudulent charges. This company is either totally dysfunctional or is running a nationwide scam.
