WorldCom's Customer Service: A Costly Circus
I got a Nokia cell phone and contract with Worldcom in August and did not get my first bill until November: a game of not letting me know my minutes, etc.
By the time I was ready to pay or contest the charges, I hadn't decided, I had the bad luck to be parted from my phone.
I immediately called their customer service to report it and freeze my account, and they have a perky little voice, automated, telling you, no matter when you call "Due to the high volume of calls, we cannot connect you at this time.
Please call back later." But they give you no options and you can reach no living agent. Check it out: their national Customer Circus number is 800-254-8991, and they don't give you any service at all. They are a disgusting company. Every contact I've had with them so far has had the feel of a "scam" to it, or I just fell off the turnip truck. --John Ervin
