WorldCom Wireless consumer fraud ripoff tricked and lied to us victimized many consumers Newark New Jersey
I received a letter in the mail offering this wonderful new product from MCI Worldcom Wireless. Thinking that MCI was a reputable company, I took the offer. After 1 year of service, everything was fine.
When I renewed the contract for the second year, I had problems with the phone. It was coming apart in two pieces. I called them to replace the phone and was told I had to buy another one.
Then, approximately a month later, received a letter stating they were going to send me three bills. (Mind you, my account was paid up until then.) It said, "don't pay the least amount, pay the full amount," which was $1,250. The phone has been inoperable for months, and they keep sending me bills. When you try to contact them, you are on hold for hours, and I do mean hours.
Then you are told this person cannot help you but it you cancel your service you will be charged an additional $250. I have never seen such ludicriously. If I ran my business that way, I wouldn't be in business very long. This is ridiculous. It shows some very creative billing on their part all to my detriment.
Please contact me with any suggestions you might have in how to clear up this matter. I have emailed them to ask for a reply from their service representatives. My name is Dean
Thank you very much for your help in this matter. Sincerely,
Dean
