MONTHS ago, I contacted WorldCom Wireless company about a mistake they had made. I was sent a bill for $39.99 for a service I did not have with them. Because we have another cellular service at $29.99 a month, I paid their bill thinking it was our service. After all, who would think that a company would send out a bill to someone who was NOT their customer? When I paid the bill, I only wrote the check (check number 2770) for $29.99 and enclosed a note saying that was the amount that should have been billed.

A week later, when I received the bill from my actual cellular plan, I realized the mistake.
I started making phone calls trying to rectify the matter. I spoke with Tamika on 10-12-01 at 1:48pm central time. I spoke with a man named Cedrick on another date when it still wasn't resolved at extension 1129 who told me they would do a reversal that would take 48-72 hours. When I called back to verify in 72hrs that it had indeed been done, I was told it hadn't. At that time I asked to speak with a manager. I was given to Alex Johnson, a Senior Representative. He told me, that although months had gone by, he still needed me to send him a copy of the cancelled check before he could refund the $29.99.

I was so sick of the run-a-round by this time, that I asked for his fax number and had my Bank One Manager, Larry Alton fax him the cancelled check. By that time, it was not the $29.99 I was concerned with, it was the integrity of this company.
Larry did fax the copy to him at his fax# 516-228-1389.

To this date, now April 12, 2002, I have never been refunded my money.
They are total crooks, and all for $29.99. How sad.
