Complaint Review: Worldnet Computer Services

I would like to file a complaint against WorldNet Computers located on Bryant Street in Jasper, Georgia. I purchased a "top-of-the-line" Talon computer from the business in April 2004. When I purchased the computer, I was told that Windows 98 was the best operating system to use. I was told there were so many bugs with Windows XP and Windows Millenium Edition. I later found out that Windows 98 is very outdated. I was told by another person that legally there had to be a sticker on my computer with the serial number for my operating system and there isn't one.

This came with no operating system CD's and hardly any software was included. This is very disappointing, as I am paying almost $2000.00 for it. I am making 13 payments of $127.00. Also, my computer started giving me problems and I took it in for repairs. I had a 12-month parts and service warranty on it. After 3 weeks, I called to check on it and was told someone must have picked my computer up already, because they didn't have it anymore. I was very upset and they called back later and told me they had found it. It took them almost a month before they called and said it was ready to be picked up.

When my husband went in to pick it up for me, he was told they could not get my computer fixed and was given another one. When I have tried to talk with the owner about the problems I have had, I was cursed and told that I was welcome to return the computer and break the contract, but I would not be refunded any money. My computer is back in the shop now and I would like some kind of resolution. Thank you in advance for any help you can give in this matter.
