The
company debited my business account an annual fee of $129.00 when the service
advertisement stated "No Annual Fee."

In
October of 2011 I entered into a contract with WorldPay, a credit card
processing company associated with Office Ally, in order to accept debit and
credit cards for copayments in my practice. Office Ally advertises, "No
Annual Fee" on the website for providers that use this product. There is
no mention of an annual fee in the contract that I signed and was told verbally
by the representative there are no annual fees. In October of 2012 I noticed a
debit from my account by WorldPay in the amount of $180.00. When I called to
inquire about the charge I was told $129.00 of it is a new annual fee past down
to customers of Worldpay due to credit card companies charging new fees. When I
tried to dispute the charge I was passed on to another company call Century, as
they are the company that made the terms of the contract. I contacted Century
and they advised that they could initiate any fees they want at any time,
because I signed a contract. I asked to end the contract and was advised I
would have to pay $190.00. I contacted my attorney and we proposed to Worldpay
and Century to apply the $129.00 to the fee for ending the contract and I would
pay an additional 61.00 to get out of the contract for the total of $190.00.
They were given 30 days to respond and continued to attempt to debit my
account. After the 30 days and no response I tried to call several times and
was told the supervisor was at lunch or out of the office. I finally was able
to speak with Carrie the supervisor who offered to refund my $129.00 if I would
stay with the company and I agreed. However, I never received the refund. I
called several times about the agreement and would never get a call back. I
never heard back from the company about accepting my offer to cancel the account
and I never received a refund. I paid $25.00 to my bank to stop payment from
WorldPay as they would not return my calls or respond to my offer. In January
of 2013 WorldPay debited another $61.00 from my account using a new merchant
number to go around the stop payment. This was an unauthorized payment and when
I addressed it with my bank I was told they used another merchant number to
access my account. I find this to be a very fraudulent way of doing business
and I would not recommend this company to anyone in business. In February of 2013 I received a collection notice from the company because they could no longer access my account. I filed a complaint with the BBB and the company's response was to defer the complaint to Century, despite the fact that all statements, debits and collection notices have the Worldpay title attached with no mention of Century. Needless to say Worldpay no longer has an A rating with the BBB. At this time they have no rating.
