Just wanted to say that I got ripped off by Worldwide relocations too :( I'm having the same problems as everyone else. My shipment was to be shipped from CA to HA.

I paid the original invoice and then was subsequently billed hidden fees that were supposedly all disclosed in the original quote. Loyra Rivera, their A/R Manager, said that my goods would not be shipped until payment was recieved in full and that the extra charges were disclosed in the TOS. If you read their TOS, then it basically says they can deliver the goods whenever and charge whatever they want.

I paid the subsequent invoice because they had all my stuff and I wanted it delivered. It has now been 50 days since pickup and still no delivery. I started looking around and found numberous complaints on this site and other sites. If you've been scammed by this Company or Patrick Costadoni, please post so that others are not taken advantage of.

My stuff is still sitting in a port in CA. Worldwide Relocations contracted EuroAmerica to move my stuff, but Euroamerica won't talk to anyone but Worldwide because they "don't have the time to deal with every customer that this Company has screwed and they are getting several calls a day". I also contacted the port that is holding my goods, Martin Baker of Schumacher Cargo said that he has been getting numerous calls from customers of this Company and the FBI, but that his hands were tied until he had a release from EuroAmerica who again won't talk to another company's customers.

I've e-mailed everyone in Worldwide relocations over the last few weeks and no one will respond. Today they're phone lines rang endlessly; it appears they turned their answering service off.

Anyway, I'm just posting this so others don't get taken advantage too. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know. Have any of the other victims been able to secure their stuff?

As a further action, I've contacted the following per the suggestion of Sharon of Alexandria, Virginia (thanks!):

* Miami-Dade FBI office.
They have jurisdiction over Broward County where WW Relocations is doing business. You can file a complaint online @ http://miami.fbi.gov/

* Pembroke Pines Police Department 954-431-2225 http://www.ppines.com/police/phonenumbers.html
I left a messege to file a detective report.

* Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration online.
Their website is https://www.1-888-dot-saft.com.

* Federal Maritime Commission.
You need to fax to them with complaint info. 202-275-0059 Attn: Allen Jackson. They are extremely involved when your move is from US to overseas.
Select the "complaints" button and read everything they can help with.(Mr. Costadoni alluded in a 6/04 posting he has an application for something in with them). Their website @ http://www.fmc.gov

* Broward County Consumer Affairs office (Attn: Mona Sardel) -- Telephone number to talk with them 954-357-5350

* Florida Attorney General, Charlie Crist
At their website select "consumer protection" and then select "economic crimes". At the bottom of this page select "contact economic crimes" and
submit your complaint.

* Both MINE and THEIR state's attorney general office. If you are overseas, contact your state's senators or representatives.

* Better Business Bureau www.bbbsoutheastflorida.org.
Worldwide are currently BBB members, but someone needs to kickstart the BBB into realizing that WWR needs to have their membership revoked. The BBB says that any company with a "patternof unusual complaints" will not be a member.

* HHGFAA
Mr. Costadini said that this company is now a member of HHGFAA as of 6/4/04. I called HHGFAA. According to their Membership Approval person if they receive 2 complaints on a member then the member company is expelled. Fax complaints to: (703)684-3784 ATTN: Jean Mathis.

STOP! ..before you think about using the Better Business Bureau (BBB)... CLICK HERE to see how other consumers were victimized by the BBB's false or misleading information. Don't be fooled! It has been reported, when there are thousands of complaints and other investigations underway by authorities, the BBB has no choice but to finally give an UNsatisfactory rating to a BBB member business that is paying the BBB big membership fees every year. When a business is reported that is NOT a BBB member, BBB files WILL more likely show an UNsatisfactory rating, then reportedly shake down that company to become a member of the BBB. One positive thing about the BBB is, either way, if a business has an unsatisfactory rating with the BBB, you can be sure, the business is bad. But what about all those BBB member businesses that had complaints filed against them? Consumers never get to hear about them. What about the BBB advertising to the public? Is this a false and misleading perception they are giving about consumer confidence when dealing with a business? Click here to understand more of what consumers and business alike are saying about the BBB. You decide. ..Remember. The BBB membership is not earned, it's paid for!

Shipment still not received, WWR will not refund payment

#9Author of original report

This is Nick Hill, just wanted to update the message board again. I never received a response from Andrea on this messege board or in person. I eventually located the 3rd party Company that was holding my stuff. They were waiting on payment from WWR and would not release my stuff until they were paid, so I made arrangements to pay them directly. While I have not yet received my stuff, I am hopeful that it will arrive in the next few days. Note, it has been over 10 weeks since my stuff was picked up!

Patrick has responded a few times, but it is just his typical stall, saying that he will look into the matter. I've asked a few times for payment in full due to breach and nonperformance and have yet to receive a refund from them.

PLEASE DON'T USE THIS COMPANY!

The FMC contacted EuroAmerica who is the 3rd party holding my stuff and persuaded them to talk to me.

Hi, this is Nick Hill. I initiated this posting last week and wanted to give everyone an update. I contacted several parties related to my missing stuff (see above), but I had the most luck with the Federal Maritime Commission (FMC). The FMC contacted EuroAmerica who is the 3rd party holding my stuff and persuaded them to talk to me.

When I initially contacted EuroAmerica they refused to talk to someone else's customer. Anyway, the FMC started the dialog and I was able to determine that EuroAmerica was still holding my stuff in California as they are waiting on payment from WWR. EuroAmerica said that they didn't want to be involved in the situation, but they were going to ship my stuff immediately (that was a week ago). Then, the next day, Patrick Costadoni and Alexandria Hudson wrote saying that my stuff was on its way. This is the first direct response I had gotten from WWR in the 3 weeks that I had been requesting status.

Their story was that the Company is moving and that the phones had been disconnected in the move process. Anyway, I'd like to give them the benefit of the doubt and assume that their call the day after I contacted all the parties was a coincidence, but seeing all these postings from other people who feel they have been ripped off makes it hard. I'm still has me worried about my stuff.

Patrick said that he would give me details on my stuff's arrival as soon as he got it, but I haven't heard anything yet (its been nearly a week). Alexandria wrote again saying that Patrick was handling my case. At this point I just want me stuff. Its frustrating to know that I have it almost in grasp, but can't quite get it. Its more frustrating that its been 7 weeks since my stuff was shipped and I get more genuine responses from the Company on a messege board than I do in person.

ALEXANDRIA/ANDREA, you have my express permission to update this community on the progress of my shipment. Please post to this list everything that you and your Company has and is doing to get my shipment back in my possession. Please, also, "continue" to correspond to me over e-mail.

Andrea,

Why don't you tell us what you've done to help Nick? "Factual statements" on your part would be appreciated. As long as your company continues to screw its customers you'll see posts like Nick's. You and Patrick have no credibility.
