Buyer Beware!!!

Please note our recent experience with Worthington Ford of Long Beach.

Worthington Ford approved a car loan for a F-150 vehicle. Took my sons $4000.00 dollar deposit, and held the first car payment, then apx. 60 days later asked for a co-signer or then demanded the vehicle to be returned.

Jeff Poole in the finance dept. stated that the approval from the back (Chase) was taken back and a co-signer was needed. We made it clear from the start a co-signer was not available. Jeff Poole also said that Cal Worthington could if they wanted to finance the vehicle, however they chose not to according to Jeff Poole?

My son sold his other vehicle and obtained an insurance policy for 6 months. This transaction as caused our whole family emotional stress and money and worry. We returned the vehicle on March 4th, 2008. Now my son as no vehicle out of 5 1/2 months of car insurance.

In the sales contract it states that the seller has 10 days to cancel the contract or they have to finance the vehicle. My son is young (21) and Worthington Ford sales dept. was deceptive in regards to their selling practices, perhaps to gain an commission or meet sales numbers.

We would have walked away and pursued another vehicle , however Worthington Ford used high pressure sales tactics and the trust of a young man to execute the deal.

Here are the facts: 1. We have an executed sales contract. 2. We gave the money requested $4000.00 and a first payment of $400. 3. We have had the vehicle for over 60 days +. 4. We have obtained a 6 month insurance policy. 5. We returned the vehicle on March 4, 2008

We are considering filing a civil law suite?

Note: In addition the finance my wife spoke with Paul Valencia (finance manager) did not return calls? I asked to speak with Nick Worthington (general manager) however he was never available?
