Complaint Review: WORTHPOINT

WORTHPOINT Plrease excuse my erroe. I hit the mouse when I shouldn't have. I am continuing. The representative indicated she would forward my file to the supervisor. I know it's been only a couple of days, but I don't want this to slip through the cracks. $200 is alot of money for someone on a fixed income. atlanta internet

I was looking for the value of an item.  I located this site through a search engine.  Worthpoint offered a free trial period.  In the process of registering,  I evidently clicked the box stating 7 days or 7 items in order to utilize the free trial.  (I missed the 7 items referrence).  Since I had 7 days to use the service, I looked up additional items. 

I cancelled my account the next day, which would indicate that I did not want to use their service any longer.   After I saw the charge on my credit card account, I called immediately (February 1, 2016) and requested a refund. 

 After establishing that the transaction was not a fraud and I marked the box that I would pay $199.99 for a years subscription, I was informed that I could not get a refund. (End of discusion.)  I asked for a supervisor and was informed one was not avaible.  She said she would forward my file to someone higher up and they would get back to me. 

I've called daily on Feb 3,4 and 5.  I heard a message that the extention 4011 was not avaible and leave a message, which I did.  I could not get a person on the line.  I could locate no additional phone numbers. 

I know it has been only a couple of days, but $200 is alot of money for a senior citizen on a fixed income.  If this report does not generate a favorable response, I will proceed to contact the BBB in my area.

I am reporting my complaint was sort of fixed.  I received a partial refund about a week after I filed the report.  They still charged me $19.99 for a months membership.  I accepted it and stopped haressing them.  I'm sure it was in the works before I filed the report.
