Complaint Review: WORX Yard Tools

WORX Yard Tools Deceptive advertising practices. Company lies about how they bill you. Charlotte, North Carolina

Their TV infomercial advertises that you can buy the WORX Tri-Vac in three separate monthly payments. The sales rep. who answers the phone when you call also confirms this. But, as I found out, they don't mean one payment this month, the next payment the following month, and so on. They mean all three payments in the same month, even though the sales rep. told me it would be one payment each month for three months. When I saw the second payment on my credit card billing statement less than a week after the first payment, I called to complain, and was told that their system was down. But, several days later, and their system is still down. How convenient that their sales dept. system is still up and running, but their billing system isn't. Yeah, right. All prospective customers should be wary of this company.

This company is plagued with "Computer Glitches"  They took my money, Charges additional hidden fees, all in the name of a computer glitch.  Not to mention the tool didnt work as advertised.

My anger toward this company stemmed from my lack of patience due to a broken customer service computer system and also due to incorrect info. initially given by sales rep. who took my order more than a week ago. Also, I purchased accessories that are billed during the first month. This wasn't explained to me properly when I first called. But, subsequent calls revealed the whole story. And, now I am pleased to state that my concerns have been alleviated, and I'm very impressed with this company. Please disregard my initial report. Thanks! Michael
