When we see an ad or a fundraising event, or approaced to donate, don't we all take pause

when we see a photo or a real person with a missing limb? Don't we pause and want to dig

deep into our pockets and help in any way we can to support those wounded fighting for our

liberties and freedoms? Don't we take pause and want to comfort and support those familiy

members who also suffer right along with their loved one and "wounded warrior"?  Now take

pause again. Would you ever imagine that an active military person; a civil servant, would

begin fundraising on behalf of the wounded and their families? Who would suspect someone

wearing camo and boots could behind such a master mind of exploitation? A woman, an army

soldier, a wife ( 2x married, now 2x divorced) a mother, a grandmother.... who would or could

suspect her? Before donating to her "Military Charity", do your research and be willing to stand

up and say NO! No you cannot exploit our men and women and their families. HELL NO & Shame

on you Phyllis Wilson of "Wounded Warriors Have Families Too".  Not even an original organization name!

Collecting funds at least since 2013 or 2014, yet not filed for a 501C3 until a year ago? Really?

Wounded Warriors Have Families Too - an IRS Approved 501(c)3 Charity

#2REBUTTAL Owner of company

Tue, March 27, 2018

Wounded Warriors Have Families Too is an IRS Approved 501(c)3 Charity effective October 9, 2015. It took more than 16 months to complete all of the paperwork for approval (which was started in May, 2014). According to IRS guidelines - a Charity in “pending” status can still offer tax deductible donations. The founder of this Veteran focused charity was an active duty Army Soldier when this organization was being started.

No one that has volunteered with this organization has received even one dollar in compensation for their hard work.

Please check us out on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/WoundedWarriorsHaveFamiliesToo/ or online at HTTPS://WWHFT.ORG

We are also on the Charity Navigator with a 2017 Silver level Seal of Transparency - but such a small and relatively new organization - they haven’t yet rated us.
