I was told I could not receive credit for a future flight, I could not get a refund, I could not credit my ticket. For $250 more I could fly to the same place the ticket was destined for within 6 months. It was a family trip. I won't be traveling alone to the same place. This cancellation occurred after I had to repeat the spelling of my name and email address at least ten times to someone who go the whole thing wrong anyway. All of my information was sent to the wrong address. Then I finally spoke with someone who understood me.

When I was told I needed to cancel due to an emergency they told me they would have to charge me another $150. This was after I discovered that my other family members who did get to travel were told they could check their bags because they had already charged me for bags that were never going to be checked in the first place!! Ipaid for airline tickets not checked bags. There was never a conversation tht said that they would automatically charge my credit card for bags that hadn't been checked, mine included, as I was not going to be on the flight. When I demanded a refund for charges that were put on my card without their permission they said there "you are allowed" 2 carry on bags.

Not charged, but "alowed", justifying their charge. When I demanded a refund they gave me the name and number(not a working number) of Canadian Western Airlines! This airline is a scam and they nickel and dime you to death and their customer service is HORRIBLE.When I asked the same customer service agent who charged me without my permission for checked bags that were never checked if I could speak with someone else, she told me she couldn't allow that!!I told her not to cancel my flight because they were not getting another dime from me. I'm out the money for the plan ticket, the baggage fees I never agreed to and all the finances I've had to put forth on the medical emergency.Wow, is right!

I, who have flown a great deal in my lifetime have never had a bad experience with any airline. I sadly purchased tickets from Wow Airlines. It was very difficult to understand the customer service agent and the call took a very long time( at least an hour total along with several, lengthy holds). After spelling and respelling my name for her and after spelling and respelling my email address, several times, maybe 7, she still got the email address wrong and sent the entire itinerary elsewhere.

I finally was able to talk to an agent who I could understand and who could understand me to get the itinerary straightened out and sent to the correct email address.

I then purchased insurance through CSA, who I found to be extremely friendly, professional and helpful, so far. I am filing a claim for a refund due to a medical emergency, through them, at this point.

When I informed Wow that I had to cancel my very expensive(overly priced) flight due to a medical emergency, I was informed there were no refunds, no future credits, except if I were to fly to the same place within 6 months and that would cost me an additional $250 to change my flight. Cancelling my flight would cost me $150. Due to the expense and shock of the medical emergency, and the fact that this was a family trip, I did not opt for either one.

The rest of my family flew out today and when they went to get their boarding passes and told the agent they were not going to check their baggage, they were informed that it was already paid for, because the service agent charged me without my permission, in advance for bags that were never going to be checked in the first place, both ways!! I, who did not even fly was charged for bags, I never checked.  Apparently, without my permission or even the mention of a charge in advance for potentially checked bags, it was added to my total ticket amount, under the title additional taxes and fees and removed frommy bank account!! When I requested a refund, the agent told me I would have to call Canadian Wetsern Airlines for a refund. Their number is not a working number(604) 233-9292. Is this a total scam??

Wow, I feel like I've been totally screwed without any recourse!!! Who can help me receive fair compensation in this matter without having to pay another dime.

Never ever fly Wow.

Thank you,

Michele

There is one standard around this site, people will always try to bring out every "negative" item to gain sympathy and make themselves look like poor innocent victims and the "big bad" company just one step above the devil.  But only after you actually read the details and understand what they are saying do you realize that they are just a typical PITA(that is Pain in the Arse) customer with a huge ENTITLEMENT attitude.

Case in Point...

. I sadly purchased tickets from Wow Airlines. It was very difficult to understand the customer service agent and the call took a very long time( at least an hour total along with several, lengthy holds).

- Then why did you complete the purchase?  Why didn't you go with another airline?  Or better yet why didn't you do what 99% of the people would do....go ONLINE and purchase them.  You obviously have a computer.  No, this "problem" only became a problem for you AFTER they wouldn't do what you wanted them to do.

I then purchased insurance through CSA, who I found to be extremely friendly, professional and helpful, so far. I am filing a claim for a refund due to a medical emergency, through them, at this point.

- BACK THE TRUCK UP...your complaint here is that the airline isn't willing to allow you any sort of credit towards a future flight.  If this was a case of "well I didn't know I wouldn't be able to get any credit"..then why in the world did you BUY INSURANCE?   So again either you were fully aware of their policy(hence the reason for buying insurance) or you were totally clueless and they could of told you that you were buying the Golden Gate Bridge and you would have gone right along with it.

When I informed Wow that I had to cancel my very expensive(overly priced) flight due to a medical emergency

- Again...if this was "overpriced" why did you complete the purchase?  Either you are the type of person who enjoys overpaying just because you think it is cool, or you couldn't find a cheaper price.

Oh and another "standard" is for people who disagree with the poster to be branded as an "employee" of the company.  So let me take care of that one as well...Sorry but I am not now or have I ever been an employee of this or any airline.
