Okay, so I got sucked into doing the free i-Pad offer from a Facebook ad. This was one of the offers suggested through that process and I chose the WOZO offer because it was a minimal purchase and the add stated that I would receive a poster

BEWARE THE WOZO SCAM

It seems I also got sucked into thre WOZO scam. I am usually more careful-"If it's too goo to be true..." and all that but I clicked on the 99 cent poster offer anyway. I was trying to earn credits for a social site I belong tobycompleting an online offer. I figured that they wouldn't partner with dishonest companies.

Obviously I was wrong. The 99 cent charge appeared right away on my bank statement which I didn't see as odd at all. I never got an emilal from the company at all stating my order had been received or processed and I didn't think about it for over a week. Then I saw another charge on my bank statement for 29.99 and had no idea what it was from. I'd forgotten totally that the poster company was called WOZO and it just didn't register.

I saw a mysterious charge for 29.99 on my bank statement and after researching WOZO online I find out that it's a hidden membership fee for clicking on a 99 cent poster deal. Shoud've known it was too good to be true. You're joining a poster club...as if anyone would pay $30 a month for a poster.

I have gone through tis site and NO WHERE does it state that you're joining a poster club. These people are total crooks and need to be stopped. I don't think anyone, myself incuded, can afford unauthorized charges expecially with the state of our economy at the moment. That $29.99 was money that you needed to pay a bill, buy gas for your car, groceries to feed your family...etc. It's downright wrong plain and simple. I'm not sure what can be doen but I plan to call my bank and try to dispute the charge. At any rate I need to have my "membership" cancelled before they take another $29.99 out of my checking account.

There have been a few updates and changes but I doubt it will help the consumers who have been ripped off.

This is what the contact info says for WOZO:

Weekends are a recent development probably to keep people from using breach of contract as an arguement. I hope there's still a way to fight this because I am really ticked off.

Like me, you are another consumer who has been scammed by Wozo.  Do not give up your recourse to receive your money back.  Call your bank or credit card company & ask how many days do you have to contest or file a dispute against a charge on your account. Normally it's 30 or 60-days, from the date the charge posts on your account.  In this time period, if you do not receive any poster for the $29.99 membership, start the procedure to contest or "dispute the charge" giving a reason "services not rendered" for product not received. Also, check the date of your initial order, count 4-days, and if the last day falls on a Saturday or Sunday, I believe you have another reason to call it an unauthorize charge because the customer service phn # they provide on the "terms" is closed on weekends. By not providing you those days to cancel, they are technically in breach of contract & that renders the charge unauthorized. I have emails back & forth with a wozo manager & actually caught her in misleading information because she insist that they are open 24/7, but if you call on weekends, you get a message that they are not. At least I have her email to prove some plausible attempt to provide conflicting info.
I live in Phoenix too & fighting this all the way. I hate paying for nothing & am not in the habit of taking fraud lightly. I'll use tooth & nail if I have to. At least I can say, I fought back.  Good Luck!
