Complaint Review: WP-A-SOFT Schwabach GBR

I couldn't think of what I had bought from WP-A-SOFT Schwabach GBR that cost $10.90, so I did a little web surfing and found out that the name was linked to a credit card scam, mostly amounts around $11.00 US. Although I have tried to find their web site, http://wp-active-news.com, no information is available.

I called my credit card company (Capital One) and had them dispute the charge. They were instantly cooperative when they heard the name. I was told by an account investigator that this company would soon lose their ability to charge (*yesterday* is not too soon!) and if it happened again they would have to change my credit card number. I asked if I could block the merchant but was told this wasn't possible.

I use this credit card for everything, so I watch my statements closely. I do purchase online, have done so for years and this is the first time I've been hit. Possible link: purchase from amazon.com just two weeks previous. Could there be a leak?
