WP-A-SOFT, WP-SMOOTHERCOMPUTE, WP-etc. Look for these small amount fraudulent charges on your credit card statements. If you did not buy and receive anything from them, call your credit card company and dispute the charges immediately.
Fleet Credit Card Service credited my account for the two I got hit with last month. Kudos to them! I was upset by this. Now it has happened again, and they closed my account to prevent more of the same.
Look here for other people who got hit by the same people.
"Basically this company is billing thousands of people $9.95 to their credit cards and hoping that the people will miss it. A charge this small would be pretty easy to overlook on a card that is used a lot.
They're pretty slick too.
They set up fake websites and a fake company name. Register a merchant account, then start billing people. After x amount of time goes by they take everything down, set up a new company name, merchant account, and new websites and start all over again."
